I access the net via two computers & both recently have been stalling, running on & on obviously hung up on a task. I've gotten shockwave error messages and Mozilla has quit responding regularly.
I may be the last guy to figure this out, but if you hit the "help" button in the tool bar, then hit "troubleshooting information" - from there you will see a button that says "Reset Firefox".
This simply resets firefox to the default settings & on both my computers it took less than 30 seconds to complete and all my bad issues ceased immediately.
