Answer me this:

I guy is convicted of armed robbery. Someone gets shot in the process. The guy is released from prison 5 years later. Should that individual be allowed to go to a gun show and purchase whatever he wants, or should there be a process in place to screen individuals like that?

Nope he should no be allowed to purchase a gun. So he will have a crackhead or someone else do it. If I wanted to own guns I would prefer the type my government don't know about. They are the only boogie man I'm ever that worried about.

There are so many illegal weapons already in our country that you can regulate anything you want. Only the law abiding citizens will suffer.

If you want to prevent more of these massacres maybe check into the prescription anti depressants that these people are on. I bet that the meds they use have more in common that there means of obtaining a weapon. Find one of these school killing where the person with a gun was not under prescription, even furthur I bet most of there prescription were in some way altered not long before.

I dont like the NRA. They tend to leave the grass roots people in the shadows, including not returning members' phone calls, and only want to get involved when its at the appeals court level. As a result, most are convicted on a lesser plea, because they cant afford the court fees to get them that far before a high dollar NRA lawyer can get involved. Sad thing, the person is usually innocent. I call them the N egotiate R ights A way.
