Fir bark for DWC grow media? noob in need.

Im very new to growing, i saw my dads plants and he talked to me about it a little bit and now i want to try my own in a hydro system, so i set a my own (3 stage method) hydro dwc, and as my medium i chose some Fir bark i had laying around for my lizard as a medium to save some cash, any one have info on this? or experience??

In my experience mj isn't too big on sticks or the like but can grow in it. That said I think ull find issue in that wood absorbs and retains water. factor in the nutes ull be dumping on them and the light that will be hitting them u may see some problems.

That aside.... what kinda lizard? (Fellow collector)

as long as it will grow in it big enough to get a clone or to from it untill i have more money to get some clay hydro balls, what type of problems arise with this type of mediuM?

and is a Chinese water dragon, you can check him out here.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hc0GFFFdimM he's about twice that size now
