fingers lids and handfuls

In New Zealand in the 1970's the terminology was a bit different. In the North Island, late 70's I'm not sure how much an ounce would cost we would score a "deal" which was a three finger wide, finger depth bag (about 8th oz I think) for $30. I guess an ounce would be around $100 - $130 then. When I moved down to Christchurch in 81 everyone was buying a "bullet" (later known also as foils or tinnies). They were about 4 or 5 joints worth wrapped in a long narrow siver foil package, for $15 ... and I think ounces were around $180-200. Nowadays, its expensive in Christchurch. Foils are smaller and cost $20 -$25 (although you can get better value $50 bags in most places) and ounces are $300 -$400. I'm lucky as I live on the West Coast, South Island. It's a low populated area well known for growing, and I can usually find decent $50s or ounces for $200 - $250 if I look around.
