I've just chuck my yield onto the scales today and was shocked to find out I've passed the 1 gram per watt..with a strain that's not even a high yielder, want to know how so? By all means ask away and I'll be happy to tell you how easily it was done in a total of 14 weeks from seed

Thanks, lol of course there's more I love knowledge and sharing it around. I was going to explain further when I made the thread but was too tired and just abit over excited lol.

Time is money and I don't want to veg for ages and waste away weeks for a good yield.

I've been tweaking and dialling in a 4x8 tent with 1200w, my first run I hit 0.5 gram a watt which is ok but yet still abit of disappointment when you hear of other's hitting much higher. I thought 10 plants would be plenty in there in a row of five but nope... Wasn't the case.

This time I thought fuck it I'm going to do 14 plants, 5 in front 4 in the middle and 5 at the back, and only used lst and lightly removed leafs that were shading bud sites all through flower till week7. I was mad sceptical even while I was hanging and drying what my yield would be, I honestly thought it would be about the same again or less or maybe abit more which would of sucked since I did use more nutes and had to do a little bit more watering. But when I realised that I actually hit the 1 gram per watt I was honestly abit shocked and stoked at the same time, as it happened just because I grew afew more extra plant's in there as an experiment of course to try and up my yield.

Strain was 80% indica 20% sativa
10 litre buckets
90% perlite 10% Coco
Canna classic and Flores for nutrients.
5.5 for veg - 5.8 for flower - 6 on the last two weeks.

What else can I say , this would also work in different size setups, see for yourself.

so what's your new goal? because I feel you can do better, how will you do it? increase the happiness of your plants... a better soil... or more efficient light... a more select genetic.... more wisdom/xp to get "the feel"... or technology... water... fertilizer... you could be working on a item at a time, and see 4 yourself if theres progression... do you see the 2.5 gpw at the horizon?

IMO LST won't net nearly as much as multiple topping/mainlining simply bc these manipulation techniques do create much more potential budsites. needs longer veg though, but if you can double the amount of colas by an add. 2 weeks - wouldn't that be worth it?
then theres this artificial light problem where you optimally want to grow right inside the sweet spot... depending if you use HID or LED strips it calls for a different look of the canopy...

LED strips firing close onto a SOG using 100 cloned plants per m^2, ultra-short veg (max 2 weeks) for a total of 11 weeks for the full grow incl. 1 week to let clones root. No plant manipulation technique required but lots of hassle with pots/cloning/mothers. Preferably in supersoil, requires only water using some autosystem (drip feed drain to waste or autopots or else)

Yeah definitely, all I want to do is improve and do the best I can ,I grew mendo's purple Kush as I love it but it isn't a high yielder really only medium. So next time If I did use a high yielding strain with an extra week of veg and training i could possibly hit 1.5 , 2.5? Would that even be possible I'm not sure lol but would be a dream result, will also try out the Canna boost which is expensive but my hydro guy swears I'll see a difference.. time will tell though:)

I see that allot do top and mainline which is something I've never done but that experience will come in time for sure and i forgot to mention that I use hps lighting I was actually due for some new globe's so I don't know if the one's I use did take a little yield away from me.

The 100 clone setup you are saying has always been on my mind and something I'm really tempted on doing at some point.but here it would be a huge risk with that amount of plants, but who knows I am a risk taker lol:))))

But yeah I'm always keen to try new techniques and I'm going to be upgrading so I got more to play with
