FINALLY chopping my autos after THREE months

Anyone else ever experience that?

Trichomes are 80% milky, 20% amber.

8 weeks seed to harvest my ass. At the 8 week mark they were 100% clear.

I’m guessing this was a genetics issue.

Not always. The lights your use matters cheap purples are notorious for taking longer generally several weeks more. Also breeders estimate what they got with their setup which in most cases they have the environment dialed in perfectly. Anyways good job getting to harvest I hope you have your drying game down so they finish off well.

Depends on many factors. What's your light schedule? What was the strain? Some of the strains are long-lifers. Also I find certain lights stimulate faster growth.

I generally don't believe any claims about x number of weeks from seed to finish. There are to many factors for anyone to make that claim.

I've only grown a few autos as experiments, but they all still grew like normal plants. I just didn't have to change the lights to flower them.

Once the seed germinates it typically takes 1-2 weeks for the seedling to develop a root system and produce it's first real leaves.

Then another few weeks of veg for the plant to grow and genetically mature to the point that flowering gets triggered.

Once the flowers begin to form I totally believe it will take 8 weeks for the flowers to mature properly an put on weight.

That also doesn't even begin to talk about environmental factors or genetics and phenotype!

.
That's when I top mine, around 2 weeks so I would check to see where you could maybe improve your set up.

I wasn't talking about my set up, just plant growth in general. Sounds like yours would be at or around the 1 week point where it is growing well and by 2 weeks your ready to top . I put a range on it to account for differences in setup and strain .
