here are a few pictures one shows my hydro system and the other is one of my white russians about 2 and a half weeks ago

sorry cant add new photos cause I can't find my camera

I'm interested in this as well: in the past i have had problems getting flushing just right. I'm so traumatized by having beautiful buds that taste like shit i'm thinking about flushing for 3 weeks and pure water for the last 7 days. I've heard mixed things about flushing additives, but i do know that the water from my tap - when i use it as a foliar spray - leaves a LOT of white residue (this is without nutrients mixed in). What is this from? Too much/little salt? How can i reduce the prevalence of this white deposit and, more importantly, how do i flush effectively with this water?

the white is salt you should always ph your water or nutrients . always let water sit overnight in a open five gallon bucket to let chlorine and other shit out of you water.
I wouldn folier feed at all could cause buds to mold

I do Ph my water...always have it right between 5.8 and 6.5.

How can letting it sit in an open five gallon bucket let chlorine and other shit out? Does it sink to the bottom and then when i pour the water into another container i'm careful not to let the sediments collected at the bottom into the other container?

THANKS!

leave some water in a bucket overnight the bucket will be lined with gas bubbles some are air some are other toxins some like chlorine are a gas tap the bucket a couple of times and you will release the bubbles but they also rise to the top by them selves when left overtime. I'm in Montanan we have super clean water you might need to get a filter

Thanks man...those tips were so BOMB! i'm stoked i have a choice without having to spend money!

Given adding that to the regimine, should i still try clear ex? My plan is to take nutrients down to half the 2ndd to last week, Flusing and then watering with Molases (or a store-bought equivalent) the first half of the last week, and - pending the validity of clear-ex's indications of i'ts un-questioned efficacy - cut the molases halfway through the last week and use clearex for the last 3 days.

I'm concerned about my flushing skills as they have failed me in the past. My cloning skills have too, but recently they've picked up and soon i'll be able to have them rooted in 7-10days max using a bubble dwc.

If there is any way you can find the time, check out my thread in the noob section titled "Not-So NooB neds Pro Tips": It describes and has pix of my whole set-up and i just started flowering. I'm worried about all the things that can go wrong in the sensitive transition phase so if you could take a look and tell me what you think, it would go a really long way.

Thanks again man - guys like you exemplify the truly genuine and awesome nature of the freedom of information among growers...

I am ALL about flavor - please tell me if and how this will compromise my flavor.

NooB Question: is the Chorine in this case what i've been wrongfully referring to as 'salt-percipitate'?

I gotts start getting terms right. I grew over 4 years ago but have stayed up to date and infatuated until finally - now - i can have the set up i've always wanted! I want to grow those sour, OG so-cal stains like OG Kush, RKS, the citral, skunky, LA weed!

In the last harvest we did, we had a few random plants from questionable clonse sources. This time i got seeds. I have Dinafem Diesel and Dutch Passion OG FLo, among others.

Much more details available on my thread - please help: you konw about montana weather patterns too and that's going to be important as the season changes because im from down south and not used to cold being the problem, but heat. We had no Mold, just MITES!

Resurrecting an old thread but found it searching for info on FloraKleen and wanted to make sure people know what the white more probably is so they have the knowledge of actions they can take to improve the quality of their water. The white is most likely calcium from hard water. To remedy this you can get a water softener and/or a reverse osmosis (RO) filter. Plants absolutely love soft water!

Not at my computer so I have to keep it short for now but can edit later to provide more detail.
