Wow....that post waited a long time for a response!
LOL, well, if all you have is a stump, then you went too far.
I am hardly a FIM expert, but I have really been enjoying watching
how my plants have reacted to my attempts.
When I am making a clone-mother, then I want a bushier plant,
and then when I FIM, even if I end up just topping, then I still
get the effect I need.
...and the effects are cool. Some have burst into more than
branches than others, and some have left the side nodes still
taking over the dominant position....in spite of the center node
still continuing to grow. (weird parallel branches)
Take it easy, and let the plant grow out a bit more before you
go in with the scissors next time.
