Man I love watching the UFC/Pride fighting, You gotta love pain to get involved in that stuff.

You guys thinking about it need a few Cro Cop kicks to the head to knock some sense into ya.

I know a few golden glove boxers and a MMA fighter/trainer.

I'm also about to start training with them.

well thats good for you no grow you anynear the southwest...also mma is the future , i dont believe its more dangerous because your not constantly gettin hit in the face head an body,,but can be sumitied out without a punch thrown.

did you see the kick cro cop took? that was ruthless
Yeah if thats the one where cro cops foot did a 180' when he got knocked out , I didnt think he would be able to walk on it after he came to, but sure enough he walked out of the ring.

thats true but i've never seen a match without a punch thrown and the better fighters all have really good striking and subs so goodluck making everyone tap without getting touched

I know I still have not so good cardio from smoking do you have the same problem somewhat?also what weight are you training for?also in mma even one punch can be deadly thats why I say its more dangerous boxing you only have to defend hands which aint so hard with quick reflexes but mma it could be kicks, knees, hands, elbows, you name it but I wish you luck to be a success

i would imange thats somewhere in southern ohio but im not sure....yea cardio is my weak point i have been smokin weed an cigerettes for a decade now an it really has taken its show on the lungs...but i plan to stop smokin cig's an start vapin with weed..i weight train 4-5 days a week each day is 2 body parts except monday which is just chest....i use the heavy bag as well to train i work that for45-60 min 3 days a week...also it has been proven that boxing is more dangerous because of the gloves...boxers can throw a certain punch with such power that it can kill instantly but mma fighters this is harder because the gloves are so then most would break their rist's befor they could finish the punch..besides that i think the refs are a lot more active in mma fights rather than boxing.

never seen no one killed by a punch or an mma fighter break there wrist but i've seen boxers break there hands I know long term like if you do it for lots of years they both probly get brain damage but boxing gloves are 8 ounces and mma 4 ounces thats why mma has way more knockouts plus you can punch faster with em but id say the leg kicks and knees are the nastiest kos i've seen but you'll be ok if you have a iron chin like mark hunt

i can take a fair amount of damage.....its because the boxing gloves are bigger that their able to throw harder punches an because of this the vibration in your skull is worse....trust me put on some 8 oz gloves an hit a brick wall then do it with the 4 oz'rs you'll notice that the bigger ones give your hand more support so you will hit harder...

i know of the skull vibration problem with boxing but I still believe mma gloves let you hit harder cause how easy people get knocked out in mma from punches you dont see to many boxing matches end in the first round unless the majority of mma fighters have no chin

do what i said about hittin the wall an you'll also notice the fact you have more knuckle contact this is what cause's the fast knockout's...i believe that in 15-20 years the mma fighter's will still be normal while pro-boxers may end up more like ali

yes i agree that boxers will be messed up cause they take alot a punishment but i dont think an mma fighter will be just fine either just dont do it past 30 so you can still defend really well with good reflexes and dont endure punishment for to many years and you should be fine take floyd mayweather for example he probably wont have any problems
