Fibromyalgia and Medical Marijuana

hello. I was wondering how many other RIU users have Fibromyalgia and use cannabis? If you happen to have it what are youre symptoms like & how bad? I use medical cannabis for my fibromyalgia. I began noticing severe symptoms in Feburary 2015. I continue to have chronic widespread pain along with burning sensations, tingling, difficulty sleeping, muscle weakness, joint stiffness, cold sensitivity, & IBS. Every several hours I must use marijuana to relieve my symptoms. On good days I can go longer without it and on bad days I'll need it every couple of hours. If I do any type of repetitive motion or prolonged position it causes a flare up. i haven't tried any other medication that is actually FDA approved because my doctors really have no clue what they're doing & I need a different doctor who actually knows about fibro. Hot showers help me a lot in the mornings or when I'm cold, heating pads do nothing & ice makes things worse. I've tried over the counter medication and it doesn't help. Everything that I could've possibly thought of to help my symptoms doesn't help. The only thing I can ever be sure of is cannabis. Cannabis analgesic muscle balm works well for me, cannabis smoked works well for me, dabbing works well for me, just cannabis all together is the only treatment option I have. I recently began working retail.... Not going so great since I dont have access to medicine until after I get home from work. How do you other patients manage work?

Hi @Baby Bean :) I have fibro too...was finally diagnosed last year, after years of going to idiot docs who don't know jack and just want to tell you it's all in your head, you need to see a shrink, here, take these drugs. Ummm...NO!

Cannabis is my medicine...along with aspirin and heat. You should try out some CBD strains...I grew an ACDC this year - 19:1 CBD to THC. It is awesome! I made a salve with it and it really works! I also have a broken shoulder and am getting through it with weed, aspirin and heat :) The salve works wonders on my pain and also on my restless legs.

I am fortunate to run my own biz, so I am able to go at my own pace. When I was working though, it was pretty hard. Luckily, I was able to medicate along the way...I was medicated when they hired me and medicated every time I worked. I know that is not always possible though and I wish you well.
