oh. I thought a thread went poof. No worries.

As for the stuff, job one is to run the small-government charlatans out of town. Rand fucking Paul smh
We FINALLY agree.

Let's run every bit of coercion based government out of town and replace it with interactions between people that begin with consent.

they may have the right to see the papers...but it honestly seems like them trying to force dominance upon the administration. they're using threats of defunding the intelligence community to get what they want, which seems very republican for a bipartisan committee...and honestly, how "intelligent" can a committee with marco rubio on it be?
it seems to me like the republican members of the committee are looking for ammo to fire at the democrats, and the democrats on the committee seem to be going along with it.
that concerns me more than any of the documents, even the ones trump stole...which i haven't heard them say one word about...

this shit has been going on since they started to classify documents...
which means the system has been broken since the beginning...

Yes the system is broken at the beginning.

If government is supposed to be "open and accountable" why is there so much info. that isn't available to the public? That doesn't seem very transparent. It's almost like classifying stuff could be used to hide nefarious things, and build in excuses for not auditing departments like the Pentagon etc.

Tenth Amendment:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

The Biden and Pence documents cases were normal, regular, systemic failures and the system needs to be changed. As for Trump, the DOJ and Jack will speak to that and the senate will avoid it for now. They should be avoiding the whole subject until the investigations are done on both Biden and Pence and until Trump is indicted.

The senate needs to conduct an audit of it members and recently retired members stored documents for classified documents, or notes they might have made of them.

that seems like a VERY good idea...i have no doubt that there would be quite a few more people getting investigated...i just wonder how many of them are the ones who have been kicking up the most dust about Biden?

perhaps we do operate in an echo chamber...seems a lot more people are concerned about this than i would have thought.
Expectations are higher for Biden, but Pence has helped a lot with his own documents find and the special counsel's investigations and report will help to deal with much of it and stifle Gym Jordan and the republican house. Biden and Pence's investigation will be probably rolled into the same special counsel, while Jack has got Donald over separate issues. They might just charge Trump with minor document offenses, but nail his ass on two counts or more of obstruction of justice that should dispose of him for good.

It's coming Roger and when it does, logic says it will be over the documents and obstruction first, then Georgia when she has her ducks lined up more. Doing Donald over the documents long before anybody is indicted over J6 will be like shock and awe among the magats. Whether Garland likes it or not, he is a war with these assholes and if they could put him and half the DOJ in prison over nothing they would. Those in control of the house have committed crimes over J6 and need to try and obstruct justice by abusing their offices to do it. However it is also a political battle for hearts and minds with the courts making the calls on crimes. Jack is holding all the cards in this fight, or soon will be, if he has Mark squealing, text messages and emails, he will have several aces up his sleeve when dealing with the GOP house.

i'd be fine with the FBI searching Hunter's house for more documents...as long as they search cruz's house, offices, and any storage spaces or vacation homes for documents too...
It would seem that Cruz can't count past the 2nd amendment.

The fourth amendment protects Hunter from Cruz's demands:

4th amendment: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrant shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

You would never know he was a brilliant legal mind with an ivy league education who clerked for the supreme court. Ted is proof that AI can replace lawyers and they will be among it's victims...
