Few questions on my grow so far.

Skywalker Kush
Pure coco, h&g nutes coco A+B, calmag, BudXL
From 12/12 flip they are at the end of week 7.

Do they look like they are about to start week 8?
When do the buds start to thicken?
When do I start lowering my feed EC?
When should I stop feeding BudXL?

I'm guessing about another 3 weeks? I expect around a pound.

All I can say is they don't look to me like they are starting week 8 for a 8/9 week strain but maybe you were supposed to start counting weeks from when the flowering starts and not from the flip. Do you know how long ago that was? And it's a little hard for me to see the bud size in that second picture because in part it's a leafy top and a lot of shadow in the picture. Maybe you can take some more pics. I'm excitedly awaiting some excellent answers to the other questions!

Not at 8 weeks that’s for sure. You’ve got awhile to go man.

To be honest- I run mostly Kush strains and I'm used to seeing a few red hairs here and there at 8 weeks, like what you pictured. I've never run your strain but a quick Google search tells me that they flower for 9-10 weeks which is consistent with what I'm used to. It looks to me that they're lacking somewhere, either in nutrients or light.

I'm guesing the light department. It's a migro 100. I was going to run the same setup again and do an advanced nutrients comparison vs the h&g that I'm running right now, and then upgrade. Most likely going to upgrade to a 4x4 tent and buy a bcblondes game changer or just the 680 true watt (because I live in canuk land). The migro was an impulse buy and I really wish I did research into it or just joined this forum and asked around. I just want to learn to grow the frostiest buds in the land :(

If you have no experience get hid it’s the perfect beginners light and will eliminate the worry and then you can just concentrate on growing and learning

I second running hids. A cheap magnetic 600w hps ballast, bulb and reflector can be had for under 300 dollars, and that's brand new without shopping around. You'll have buds the diameter of soda bottles. With a dialed in setup and a little experience, especially with a decent strain you can pull at least 400g with just the one light.

As for this run, I personally flush at 8 weeks and pull at 9, you might want to extend that out another week, since theyre recommended to run up to ten weeks.
I also taper the nutes off about ten percent on the last week of feeding to help alleviate shock from straight flushing.

Personally I’d scrap what you’ve got and start over those plants will never be any good and your just be wasting your money and time waiting. This isn’t a criticism just advice so please don’t be offended

I mean if dudes at the end of the cycle anyway it's not gonna cost him much if anything to finish out the last week, and if nothing else, it'll be nice to smoke himself. Plus then if he does upgrade he can see, feel, and taste first hand the difference.

Problem is it’s so fluffy and leafy by the time he has spent hours trimming it and drying it and it will be almost un smokable take it as a learning curve and start again

I don't get offended by constructive criticism, I like to take everyone's opinion and then decide which side to lean towards. I've done multiple things wrong this grow, such as vegged them too big, the higher up colas have light burn, the lower ones look very nice. I have a log book of everything and it will only make me a better grower for the future. Why do you oppose those LEDs vs your HIDs. I want the LEDs because I don't want to have to deal with changing bulbs just have to change light timers. 1 light for entire veg to flower, keep it simple, ya?

I don’t oppose led as I grow under quantum boards and cobs I don’t think that the migro is man enough and also led is very difficultt to grow under the plants will need different things and show many deficiencies which take an experience grower to controll I say hid because it’s a great starter light for reasonable money and will out perform any cheap led

I don't think the bcblondes one is a cheap LED by any means. I was reading up on cobs vs leds and I might use the migro 100 in the middle of the gamechanger but that might just be overkill. Probably just end up using it as a veg light.

It would make a good veg light I’m sure buddy just trying to get you growing some dank buds without all the haste

Someone on another one of my posts during veg said the light might not cut it for flower but I decided to give it a go anyways. Now that it's week 8 I see what he meant. Live and learn. Now to do some window shopping for a 4x4 grow tent.

Ever get that Gamechanger?

I'm thinking of getting one for my 2x4 tent (340w) which currently has a 300w viparapectra which is like your light, good for begging and maybe as a mood setting light, but certainly not going to produce good quality flowers.

I got the light and tent for $400CAD combined as I just needed the tent and a veg light asap but the tent brand is Unit Farm and in my mind it's comparable to my friends Gorilla Grow tents but much cheaper (the gulf in price being huge but the gulf in quality rather marginal relatively).

Anyways I'm thinking of snagging that bcblondes gamechanger but can't find anyone who has used them yet to get their opinion, please let me know if you can provide some insight!
