It has everything to do with it. Gonna answer your question with a question. What is the plant unit that produces bud, and what NPK ratio would be best applied that maintains that unit? Your soil may contain enough micros to sustain good plant health, depends on what it is and it's constituents.

Encapsulated fertilizer aka "prills" is an excellent way to fertilize. Plants thrive on a continuous slow release of salts. 2 well known brands are Polyon (blue, green, gray pellets seen in Schutlz potting mixes) and Osmocote (yellow pellets). I had an excellent yield on an outdoor plant in a 5 gallon pot that was fertilized with Polyon's high N food, something like a 18-5-12, all the way thru. I used about 1 level Tblsp. scratched into the top inch of soil.

Thank Youkiss-ass, Now, when I do this, can I feed it a liquid micro-nutes along with it? Would you keep the feeding at once every two weeks with the Pellets, or once every week?

The pellets are long term. Once applied they last for months. I use one that is a 12 month feed, dependent more on temp than moisture for the osmotic release of the salts.

If your plants show a deficit of micros, then I guess you need to apply them. If you apply them and they don't need it, you will harm them.
