Fertilizer/nutes/light??

I have Everything I need for my closet and I have seeds germinating but I need to know a few more things. I'm starting my seeds(after papertowels) in mg organic soil and it says that it feeds up to 2 months. Should I rely on that for my first stages of sprouting and vegetation? Or get something to mix in with my water for every other day?

Also, my buddy is giving me his grow light. Not sure what kind or size but I'm thinkin it's a 4ft with a balace. I know I'm supposed to start it out about 2 inches or less from the soil but what kind of bulb(under $30) can I stick in there for optimal lighting through my sprouting and vegetation stages?

I wouldnt give any nutes for at least 3 weeks if the soil has fertalizer in it already. no idea about the light, you need to find out more about it so people know what you have.

Even though the mg organic choice says 2 months? I also want to switch soil to something other than mg but sill organic. When would be best to switch and how do I do that?

I want to use organic soil and nutes that mix with water. What kind of nutes should I look for. I want all organic everything. And do I just follow the instructions that are on the bottle for it?

I'll get more info on the light tomorrow when I get it and post it.

Fox farms has some decent organic soil. Honestly your gonna have to keep an eye on your plants. they will tell you when you should start feeding them. ussualy the leafs start turning yellow. Im doing my first dirt grow now so im no expert just telling you what others have told me. as far as feeding instructions. I follow the bottle or i go to their website and find a feeding schedule. you will have to choose the nutes that best suite you. they have alot of organic stuff avalible so. good luck.

I looked up foxfarm soils and they have ocean forest potting soil and their original soil mix. Which should I use if I'm going to use their nutes with water? And do I use the same nutes and soil the entire grow start to finish?

I just don't want to use big bloom nutes with ocean forest if it's going to overfeed my babies. I'm doing this as beat as I can the first time. Sorry for all the questions.

Im using the oceanforest atm and you wont be needing to add nutrients for at least 3 weeks. it is great soil. you will want to research a little but you typically use different nutrients in veg than you do in flower. you can use the same soil although you will more than likely be transplanting this a few times depending on how big you wanna make it. good luck.

you could probably get away with using ocean forest with plain water ph balanced of course for the entire veg period then start using that big bloom when you start flowering. I dont see why it wouldnt work. then again im new to growing and really new to growing in soil.
