i beleive most strains will do very well outdoors, the key is to find one that will grow well where you live and will flower in time before you get frost.

have you thought about doing an auto flower outdoors?

Femanised seeds are the only way to go i can't understand people still planting seed that they are not sure are male or female.even if money is a issue you can buy 5 fem seeds for a resonable price.i am doing this for medication and i need every plant, but get yr plants to a nice size before putting them out.then let nature run its course.go for a indica /sativa cross white widow blueberry anything that will be done in 8 week get them has big has possible before planting them out good luck bro hope all goes well let us know how you go on attitude seeds do some nice seeds and for every5/10 bought you get same ammount thai superskunk free these are not fem so plant them away from your fem patch.get them to a decent size then take a clone of each make sure you remember whitch clone is of whitch plant take clones home put some rooting gel on them has soon has roots appear put on 12/12off this will allow you to pull your males before they go into flower in yr gurilla patch.
