Fem seeds

Hi all,

My plant is starting to have seeds showing, I noticed the seeds are really green. Will they ripen and go brown even at this stage?

Thank you, very much for your help. This forum has been a huge help to me.20201211_104850.jpg

Alright I plucked one and had a look. Its still very soft, there was a taproot inside it. I suspect I just need to leave it for a couple weeks to mature. Im assuming it will still mature even after breaking through the bud as its still connected

Those are seeds but a good seed is typically encased with an outer layer until they are finished and start to fall out on their own. They will be brown. I've had seeds protruding from the bud like that and many will not end up being viable. The only thing you can do is leave them alone and see if they develop into viable seeds. From my experience seeds that develop like those in your photo often tend to be hollow inside without an embryo present. Just a hollow shell. That's just from my experience and nothing scientific.

Typically seeds will form in what is a calyx. They will be encased while they develop. As the flower matures and the seeds finish development that outer layer will start to split open revealing the seed. Some closest to the surface of the bud will fall out on their own.

I'll post some examples of what I'm referring to.

Fully developed seeds starting to fall out on their own as the calyx layer splits open.

Seeds still developing and encased in the calyx.

Thank you for your time in putting this together. I suspect the seeds are not ripening correctly due to the poor pollination. I had a very hard time getting any pollen out of the female plant I sprayed with CS. Its completely covered in balls, but the male stamen has little to no pollen in them. I had to dry them out to get a bit of pollen. It's an experiment, if it doesn't go well so be it. Thanks again

You might want to try using STS in the future to reverse plants for feminized pollen. You can purchase the chemicals online or there are kits available but the kits are significantly more expensive if you're going to be doing a significant amount of reversals. If you used CS which does work as well you need to make sure that you're using good CS. The best way to do that is to make it yourself as much of the CS you can buy online will yield poor results if it even works at all. That includes CS marketed towards reversing cannabis.

Thank you for your insight. I did start off by purchasing CS online but ended up making my own with 99.99% silver rods, distilled water and 9v batteries. Left for 2 days, could see that the silver was suspended in the water with the use of a laser light. But unfortunately the plant just didn't provide much pollen. I have read many reviews online stating that CS doesn't always offer lots of pollen. But STS is more or less a sure thing and will be looking at that in the future. For these plants I am just going to leave them and see what happens. Most of the seeds are still completely sealed by the catalyst and all seeds are still connected to the plant so I think I just need to have patience.

Thank you for your time!
