Feeding too much? Too little?

My seedlings are about 5wks now - around 7" tall. They were started in rapid rooters then moved to 4" rockwool cubes. I have just put them in pots.

Sitting 24" from a 600w MH

I have been feeding 3 times a day with 1gph drippers for 2 min (4 oz every 8 hours)

Should I be feeding more?

they look pretty nice to me except some are a bit droopy and from what i see in the pictures the leafs are covered with water so maybe u need to chill off with the water on the leaves and feed the rockwools and roots

I had just misted them before taking the pics - they have feed lines going into the rockwool. There are a few looking droopy since I re-potted them about 48hrs ago.

I would say you could maybe bring your light a bit closer. Just put your hand out, under the light at plant top level, and hold it there for 30 seconds. If your hand gets warm, but not uncomfortable, your plants should be fine. The closer you can get the light, while being safe not to burn them the better.

Looking not too shabby though. Keep us posted.

I thing like devildog has said get the light close as possible without burning them,.

1 possible complication could be the rockwool and hydroton. my local hydro guy said to me that he believes it hard to regulate 4"rockwool cubes of roots (rockwool will hold more moisture) and the hydroton does not hold anywhere as much moisture, so watering 3x a day might be great for the roots in the rockwool, but maybe not enough for the roots in the hydroton..

I Dont know for sure. I am at that point myself, to goto rockwool or go from starters directly to hydroton. I gotta say when I moved my plants from dirt to hydroton (Rinsed the roots successfully x16 plants no deaths) I water 30min on 30min off red speed drippers cant remember the gps on then atm, but they soak it up and they are only under 4' Fluorescent fixtures. but none of mine are in rockwool or starters atm.

please keep us posted how it goes. and I hope anyone with more experience with the rockwool / hydroton might throw up their experience. Hope something here helps.

no ,looking good.

Thanks for the feedback!

I'll be moving my light closer asap

Erdericks, I regretted the rockwool cubes soon after the transplant! I should have just put the rapid rooter right into the hydroton. This is my first grow so i'm chalking it up as a noob mistake :). I did take 6-8 of my other seedlings that were in rapid rooters and strip away to the roots and put them in a home made cloner - they are doing great so far.

Here is a video of my room

ok... I shot this with my phone but cannot figure out how to rotate the video on youtube!! LOL

Looking nice, For blooming are you going to move them to a different area or container?
For example my current mom's they are rooted in hydroton in Plastic pot's (Not very large pots) I had planned to move them to my ebb / flood side. but thinking the pots may be a problem.. Grrr Wish this was easier to decide on..

Looks like things are getting a bit worse... I'm getting some yellow on some leaves and a couple o the plants are still droopy. The temps are in the low 80's during the 18hr light cycle and drop as low as the high 60's during the dark. how often do u water them and how long? lol just seen ur first post......

i had the same problem as your getting, over watered! the rockwool cube will be holding all its water and not letting it have time to dry out, what is the ph of the water and EC of ur nutes.....

I have them on 1gph drippers for 3 min 3 times a day. PH is 5.8 and the nutes are still at 1/2 strength (what the directions say for seedlings) I make my 5gal rez once a week then top off with distilled water as needed til the next week.

I pulled some of the Hydroton back today to feel the top of the rockwool cube and it felt very dry - I'm still thinking i'm way UNDER watering.

My humidity in the room seems to be staying in the low 30's - this couldn't be a major problem right?
