Feeding schedule

I have been feeding my plants in soil ever other day. I noticed this is building up the ppms in my pots. How Often should I feed and How often should just use plain water?

Golden rule of watering: wait for the top soil to dry out a bit. Stick your finger 1-2cm in the soil, feel if it's moist or dry. If it feels dry, water again. Feed every other watering.
