Feeding question.

Do you feed every time you water or is it like once a week?
Like what everyone else said already…. Depends on your medium and goals. The most I have personally done in coco is 3 times a day but others will do alot more than that. I usually keep my ppm around 800-1000 when I’m feeding twice a day with General Hydroponics 3 part nutrients

I grow in rockwool. I get up to 4 times a day and as low as twice a day at the very beginning and end of flower (depending on starting size)

Lots of variables. It's something you kind of get used to as you recognize what the plant is trying to tell you. Soil also has its own "language" in a sense. It all comes with experience

I am using coco/perlite mix and I feed 2x daily.
Soil may seem simple but it is not.
You don’t know what nutrients and at what quantities are in the bag. If it was not prepared carefully you could end up with a hot bag with too much nutrients or too little.
A soil less medium is better, the plant gets exactly what you give it and it uptakes what it needs.
Good prepared soil will require no nutrients, only water but this is a science that requires lots of experimenting and then different strains require different amounts of nutrients so you will need to learn about this. It is very difficult unless you are growing the exact same strains over and over. Soil less medium is a lot easier and better in my opinion

Your bag of soil says it comes premixed with compost and burpee blend plant food. They say the plant food is listed on the back of the bag, but I can't find it online. Either way, it should have enough to get you through the first 3 or 4 weeks of veg. If you are using dry amendments, I would do a light topdress at week 2, then kick it up in 2 weeks as the plant gets bigger. Always mix ewc with the topdress

If you are using salt based nutes, then plain water the first 3 weeks, then kick in 1/4 veg nutes. Either feed feed water, or feed water feed. Always work in a plain watering when using cartoon bottles to avoid the build up and ph fluctuations.

I've been feeding already and she's been showing she likes it. I was just wondering if I should feed every time or once and awhile.

This is what I used. All Purpose WS 15.png

Lots of variables. I grow in soil, and using a dry amendment I only fed one time during my last grow - slow release with the dry stuff. I plan the same on the current grow. Most feed schedules for soil call for alternating, but I’d read the box and observe the plant. A big draw of soil for me is not having to consider feeding or watering daily, etc. But to each their own, of course. I’ve seen amazing results in all grow media here.

I use guano so my feeding isn’t chartable it’s slow release so you kinda have to use your eyes more than say feed x amount

i dunno if I’d agree with that ( politely) coir is hard work and needs frequent attention I’ve seen a lotta new growers struggle with it that said I’ve seen growers struggle with soil.
I honestly think it’s more what suits the grower
I’ve done coir and I’ve done soil for me coir was to attention heavy for others it’s perfect it’s more what suits the grower than ones better than the other

It seems like soil is easy, and people run into issues trying to over do it, where as there is alot of work making soil-less mediums work, but when you get it right, it's basically automated.

The reason I asked because at day 13th of my grow the leaves started turning yellow about half way to the tips.

I've added some fertilizer and they greened up.

The soil is supposed to have a time release fertilizer in it, But doesn't seem to be working.

Only picture I have of the leaves that was turning yellow.
Might try some epsom foliar spray?

I wish I could be of more help, but soil is not my realm of expertise.

The food you have the numbers aren’t great.
You want a 3/1/2 ratio in veg
It’s very strong as well in all areas.
Have you a link to that soil I don’t think there’s much in it by the looks of the plant.

Personally I would ditch the all purpose food it’s not really cannabis food ok you might get it to work however them numbers are wack.

As for the yellowing how far away is the light I see the leaves are curled up also making me wonder if your bleaching the leaves.

I don’t know about it’s slow release it says fast acting however my guano is slow release and takes a few days to kick in

with a n deficiency you’d expect it to yellow from bottom upwards. There’s loads of p & k ; to much imo I do wonder how far them lights are away as well as the food being not great

I have a thought.

Presuming you're as new to soil growing as I am, even though you're already more experienced in that realm, I will give you my resources for understanding how soil works.

First, to demystify what you need to grow weed, check out coots recipe for soil https://clackamascoots.com/blogs/news/coots-soil-recipe-coots-nutes

This isn't to say you need to emulate it, it's just an example of how simple a great soil recipe is. Good aeration, good media, and plenty of organic matter to break down and feed your plants.

Second resource is the build a soil youtube channel. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY ANY OF HIS PRODUCTS. He is an excellent resource for soil growing knowledge, he uses the show and tell method, and its really wonderful for people in our position. I have 70 gallons of soil in my spare bedroom for future projects made using knowledge I got from him and coots recipe/threads about coots soil recipe here and elsewhere.

All of this is alot, trust me, I know. I am learning the hydro/salt end primarily with an interest in the soil side. You will learn alot from doing, but this stuff makes for a great foundation. My biggest struggle is with the numbers end, macros and micros, mulders uptake chart, etc. Best of luck!

The light was too close. I have since this photo raised the light and have set it to 80%.

I couldn't find anything about the contents of the mix.

This is what my plant looks like today at day 22.

But the whole question was how often do you feed?

Every day?
Once a week?
Every 2 weeks?

I'm used to growing outdoor flowers in the summer. I may feed them once in the whole summer.
