Feedback on portable AC unit

Hey everyone, I'm currently looking for a dual hose portable AC unit to cool my sealed grow room.

I'm going to be running 4 600 watt bulbs and 1 1k for a total of 3.4k watts of power.

Before I shell out $500 for this AC, I was wanting to hear from someone experienced or knowledgable as to whether or not I would lose any of my Co2 from this AC.

I'm going for completely sealed so please help me out.

A/C usualy do not exchange air, the exaust is simply to exaust heat caused by the motor(pump) and rad.

And remember this 14,000btu A/C is going to suck 10.5 amps out of your panel and will be consuming 1200w of energy in cooling mode.

That AC is not large enough for what you need - remember, the lights themselves are gonna generate 14K BTUs of heat themselves, and then you need to think about actual cooling the rest of the grow room.

I'm planning on getting two of those for my 20x10 garage, and I'm only planning on running ~2500 watts for flower and 600 for veg, if that gives you an idea.

Agreed. Unless you have well vented aircooled hoods that unit wont be enough - dont forget the A/C units also add a bit heat themselves to the overall equation. But no they don't impact on C0 levels that I am aware of.....

I use air cooled hoods in a sealed room and use a 14,000 btu dual hose model to cool two separate tents in a bedroom 12X12 with 4000 watts of light. Outside the tents can easily be kept at 61f, which allows me to easily control the temp inside the tents via circulation fans.

I don't know what area your illuminating in your 20x10' garage, but 2500 watts would only be good for about 50 sq ft, ie about 7'x7'. Thats 50watts/sqft, towards the low end of intensity for high quality flowers.

Like mentioned above: 10.5 amps! That's not a small number at all so you should be aware that you'll need a seperate 110v circuit dedicated just to the AC. You don't want to overload things or cause untimely blackouts.

I like that unit because it has 2 very important features:

1. Auto-Restart after the power comes on (important feature if you also use, or ever intend to add, an Environmental Control System).
2. The other feature I like is a Line-Out for the drain. I use an Ebb and Grow bucket system so it's very handy to run the drain line back into the controller unit. It would suck to have to empty the drain bucket every day! Either way, you can mount the AC high in the room and drain to a 5 gal bucket (with easier access).
