my buddy grows soil and he said he feeds his plants every day or every other day with each water. i am looking at the fox farm feeding schedule and it shows the ammounts i add to my hydro system 1 time every week and it shows when to change the res. now on the bottom half for soil it also shows that you only feed them 1 time a week!

Am i supposed to be feeding my hydro babies more than once a week!?

Yer at least once a couple of days with food. i feed once a day. Hydro can take lots of feeding. just make the doses smaller

feed plants when they need it. When the soil is dry but not completely dry yet. This can be once a week or every 3 days. It depends on your pot size and plant size and light intesity and more. Add nutrients to the water you feed them every time, whether this is every 3 days or every week.
You just need to figure out the right strength to use. Ppl recommend 1/2 of the labels guide but that is not precise at all. It will do for an amateur grow

edit: oh sry noticed you are doing hydro. I am a hydro noob myself but for my seedlings, I haven't changed my 40 liter reservoir in coming up to 2 weeks now. My seedlings are hardly using any nutes so my ppm lvls haven't needed topping up yet.
For hydro use an EC meter and you will know when to feed more again. If your ppm drops then you feed a bit more so I would rather say a hydro system needs daily checking of ph and nute strength but only adjust when these change...

Obviously also as plants mature the nute strength will need to be adjusted periodically

Yep I grow in soil and feed with every watering and I water every 2-3 days as the plants need it. For Hydro you need to have nutes in the water all the time pretty much. Get a TDS meter and check the PPM of the nute water daily and add or change out the water as needed.
