The English coming in the mid to late 1600's behaved much differently.

All the invaluable cultural heritage the Spanish destroyed is unforgivable.

Small pox would have raped the natives either way. At least the native Americans that accomplished something (aztec, inca, maya) could have left us something had the Spanish in their medieval catholic ignorance not burned and destroyed it all.

The turks weren't at Thermopylae.

Eastern anitolia was persian. Most of it was semi autonomous with something like vassal status to Persia.

Western anitolia was Greek colonies.

disease and Toledo steel......in the hands of sociopaths. not good for the indigenous Americans. their own myths gave them a severe disadvantage, also. hard to develop a rational strategy against a "god." the descriptions of the slaughter are appalling.

Anyway, I've got well over a year clean now, not that the battle is over, but I know how to fight it now, and when I fight it I win.

Anyway, I was 50 cents above the minimum wage there.

But I have plenty to be proud of.

For the first time in my life, everything I have I earned. Growing up with well off parents and landing a pharmacist at 24 years old as a mate leads to other people buying your shit, like you.

I'm thinking about buying a place, i want to be able to go indoor. I've got a decent down payment saved. Deciding between a condo or a fixer upper, or a double wide on 6 acres. I know you'll make fun, but I like the double wide. Mostly because of the 6 acres. You can buy a decent used trailer for 5k, rent that bitch out for $600/month. I could have my very own trailer park!

I've got a car, I've paid it off.

I've bought a lot of furniture in the last year. I dig my recliner.

I thought they just gave then all small pox blankets.

I know there were battles, I know there were mass executions. But fairly small.
