FDA Bans Vitamin B6 - Declares it a drug:
FDA Declares Form of Vitamin B6 a Drug, Effectively Banning Pyridoxamine from Dietary Supplements by Mike Adams the Health Ranger

Conveniently, a Biotech firm applied for a patent on it in 2005:
Federal Register - 70 FR 69976 November 18, 2005: Request for Comment on the Status of Pyridoxamine

Same Biotech firm asks Feds to crack down on internet sales of it:
Big problem for BioStratum - Triangle Business Journal:

(NaturalNews) The FDA has effectively banned a naturally-occurring form of vitamin B6 called pyridoxamine by declaring it to be a drug, reports the American Association for Health Freedom. Responding to a petition filed by a drug company, the FDA declared pyridoxamine to be "a new drug."

Now, any nutritional supplements containing pyridoxamine will be considered adulterated and illegal by the FDA, which may raid vitamin companies and seize such products. See the history of FDA raids on vitamin companies here: Tyranny in the USA: The true history of FDA raids on healers, vitamin shops and supplement companies by Mike Adams the Health Ranger

Pyridoxamine occurs naturally in fish, chicken and other foods (Vitamin B6 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), putting the FDA in the strange position of banning a substance from dietary supplements even though it is already present in the food supply.

whats so bad about it?
There might be nothing wrong with it. Canada had a bill awhile ago called C 51 that pretty much states that all natural supplements are banned and to be taken off shelves. It's just business for big pharma. They want you on there tainted pills instead of our God given natural alternatives.

The only thing they will succeed in is creating another underground economy, only this time it will be for vitamin supplements.

The only drugs I take are caffeine, cannabis, beer and the occasional Aleve for a bad headache. Fuck Big Pharma!!!!!!!!!!

:peace:

dietary suppliments are stupid. I mean, you can literally buy 40 dollars worth of off the shelf ingredients for these pills and you can make a 500 dollar supply out of 40 dollars worth of material. selling big bottles of pills worth 5 bucks for 80 bucks.

it's ridiculous, and these supplements don't require FDA approval to reach the shelves.
