I have been using floranova for a while, but seems to be a bit thick for aeropoinc applications. My gear gets clogged and grungy with this thick nuteage. Looking for a new type and wonderings what ur favorites are?...especially aero-users.

yes my pump has 2 filters that do not involve a bag. Thinking about Sensi-etc. nutrients....anyone compared regular GH nutes to Sensigrow and bloom?

I work with the nova too, its not the nutes that are clogging and in general the aeroponics have always been a pain in my ass. Everyday it has a problem, I am switching over to a bucket system. I have seen if you grow with a five gallon bucket per plant they love the root space. This is my new project.

ahh yes I have days sometimes where I feel exactly the same...i need 15 drip buckets, or I need 15 ebb & flow buckets...just keep it simple. I am however trying to make this aeroponic garbage work for me. I feel that the nova is not the CAUSE of the problem of clogging, but its viscosity does contribute.

Get the red Ez-clone replacement nozzles and you won't worry about clogs. Well if it clogs you can clean it easily. Also, look into a pump filter bag. Another thing, Floranova is not recommended with Aero for that reason if I'm not mistaken. Use Canna or Advanced Nutrients or even House and Garden.

I would agree with CANNA and ADVANCED but don't get ripped off by house & garden :spew:

Mr I Can Do That For Half
This thread is old but figured since my name came up and I never got a pm Id toss my thoughts out. yes the red mister heads work best. The round cylinder 360 heads suck and will clog.I personally use Fox Farm 3 bottle nutes and use additives lke bonticare sweet, sugar daddy, or sweet leaf. I also like to add grotek super H202.For filtration I use a simple filter bag which you put your submersible pump insdie the simply cinch the strings tight. If you have a non submersible pump a nice Isreali inline pump filter can be used for around $40 or so.Never use any dry additives or dry mix nutes as the will cake up and clog. To stop clogs run your pumps 24 hours a day do not ccle time them as its not needed if your setup is correct and will prevent clogs and make your pump last lnger with less hard starts and stops.

lol yeah it is old indeed, but thanks for stopping by. I just recently started reading all of the threads u created. I love your diy aero system that is basically the same as my system i paid bux 4. If I ever need an extra billion sites I will be sure to build one of your machines. I have had a lot of people tell me to just use GH nutes, but going on 1 month now and I am beginning to think that was a bad idea. Have you ever used gh nutes and if so would you say they are comparable to advanced nutes etc.

btw I do have several environmental questions about aeroponics that basically nobody ever answers. I have been having trouble maintaining root structures/health this winter and right now am forced to use my bullshit dwc system. I also just recently purchased one of those pump bags u speak of....hopefully that will cut down on my grime next time around. newho i will be pm'ing u shortly

Thanks for stoppin in ! :)
