Yep, I know exactly what you're talking about. I was getting some super skunky shit back then. I thought it was Skunk #1, but maybe it was that Roadkill Skunk I've heard about. I don't know, but there was a lot in Seattle back then. Most of it was super skunky.

To me, there was a certain acrid yet moorish taste that I haven’t had since then despite smells that are similar in some strains. Shoreline and chemdog have some smells that are similar to me but the taste is different. Og and sour d have some distance odors reminiscing also. Since it’s basically understood that chem was parent to the others it makes sense and my theory is chemdog, the dog, was parented by the RKS. Shit, I’m fixin’ to get roasted lol

I was 6th grade summer! Summer of ‘85, was some purple hairs and mixed purple buds, I stole it from dads stash jar. I asked him what it was as an adult, he said probably what he just called purple indica. I actually started getting better grades in school after that. Also noticed another kid smelling like he knew what I figured out, lol

Virginia went legal, there’s a real shot at RKS surfacing.
im in south Virginia and you don’t see it. So if anyone does have it its some old timer who doesn’t do internet stuff or some old timer who has old seed stock and don’t even know what they have. Tired once before asking some old heads and couldn’t find anything. Had a good lead to someone who supposedly used to grow a bunch of skunky bud back in the 90s that everyone said had the wild stuff but couldn’t never get a contact to get to meet them. Don’t wanna just show up randomly to there house but it might be worth it but i dont wanna freak people out. Might try and reach out again To the guy who knows the guy who knows the guy etc lol i told a few old head what they would have would be like a holy grail if its true to what it is but none of them seem to take it seriously and don’t really care to help reach out and maybe find it.

plus most people here don’t even keep up to date with strain stuff nor seem to care. most weed people buy don’t give names of what it is they only care about the high not if it has a name or if its sativa or indica its alot like the olden days here still i mean there is people who do keep up to date but alot don’t. You find alot of homegrown stuff that you can tell is some wack ass weed and nothing like anything new or in the last 10+ years but its nothing really skunky... anyhow hopefully one day it will come to light by someone somewhere.

this is it. it is still out there somewhere, but whoever does have it is also the kind of person who isn't online and likely doesn't know how rare it is. I was talking with some old hippie girls the other day, (in their late 60's, but still girls), who grew weed in the 60's, and they don't know what all these strain names mean, and have never heard of the "forums" at all. After talking a bit, they were saying how they wish they had kept some of the stuff from then, specifically some of the seeds found in packages sent back from loved ones stuck in the Vietnam war, but they never thought anything of it at the time... it was just wonderful grass that made you feel good... that's probably the same mind frame of whoever has any old skunk seeds... just an old grower without any awareness of the current demand for it.

I’m sure of it, so many people got busted for skunk people just put those beans aside. Someone like my dad has an old film canister in the back of the fridge just waiting to see the light again!
There was a guy on here a while back can’t recall his name but he found a whole bunch of old school seeds in his fathers old fishing tackle in the back of his garage can’t remember what strains but remember reading it thinking you lucky dog ☮
