This tread is so awesome!

Gorgeous Flowers!!!

I just recently got some purple strains, and I have one big question.

What temperatures do you guys use to get these great colors to come through?

Cool, I thought it would take cold temperatures to make them show through.

What were your temps, anyway?

The only time I grew anything purple was years ago outside in a zone 4, so it got pretty cold at night on its own (40's F).

Trying:
Bomb's THC Bomb
Delicious's Cotton Candy
Delicious's Caramelo

Some strains just get purple. Others it has to be triggered. I used to think it was the cold but in a recent DJ short seminar he explained it takes a 30 degree difference between night and day temperatures to trigger the purple.

daytime high 78 and night time low of not less than 64. These buds grew in purple and had pruple trichs, I lower temps to 60 at night to get my white widow to show color but that's apples and oranges this fat purple would be purple in the cayxls and trichs if the night temps were 77 I'm sure of it.

only one of my three females is purple, and that one is maybe 1/4 the color as the crazy one above in trichyn9ne, the others are green as can be, beautiful, but green. I'm going to re-veg the purple one and run a small batch of that one. I think with some training and a little different setup that plant has a future here......it may even be my first organic grow ever, still deciding while they finish up.

The ice hash was purple, yeah I said purple hash! You want to see people shit themselves and literally throw money at you for a chunk of something; make some ice hash out of the trim. Oh, and it hits like everyone thinks a purple should hit-like a truck! I'd love to post a pic but surprise surprise it's all gone!

Chopped the first Fat Purple last night at 54 days. Started with dark purple calyx's and by the end they turned bright green with purple tips. Very pretty, very frosty. Smell is good but nothing to jump up and down about! Also looks like it will weigh in nice. The mutant pheno has a few day to a week to go and looks so crazy and good! Gonna try to get a few pics of that one.

Anxiously awaiting ironlabs results. They should post tonight or tomorrow morning. I keep looking, nothing yet LOL. It'd be at ironlabsllc.com member "Mother nature's care club" name fat purple (obviously). Bear in mind these were taken prior to what I think optimum harvest would be at 7 weeks 3 days. 8-9 would have have been better.

Here is my Fat Purple clone. I have just been vegging for awhile.
I will take another cut and flip this one and see how it does compared to last run.
