Fastbuds GSC

Hey guys,

I got some fastbuds girl scout cookies auto seeds and dropped 4 in rockwool cubes. 2 have sprouted in about 3 days and are now doing well so far, a 3rd has not broken through the top of cube yet but i very carefully removed the small piece of rockwool i covered the seed hole with just to peek, and the taproot is growing just fine and appears to be doing circles but the seed is not progressing upwards yet. Anyone ever have this happen?

The 4th seed i peeked at as well and there was no germination progress at all after 6 days so i pulled it and put in a glass of water to see if it might sprout there and risk putting it in rockwool after , i know doing this with autos is usually not preferred?

Questions, anyone have any experience with the circling taproot before? And anyone tried this breeder/ strain that can offer feedback?

Also are auto seeds more difficult to germ I've typically done photos and had higher success.

Not really. I put my autos in glass of water and 24 hours later put straight into my pot of coco. No magic. Make sure Rockwool cubes are not soaking but moist and let them do their thing.

You probably planted the seed too deep. Its pushing hard to get out. When a seed doesnt sprout (in rockwool) I grab a needle and slowly pry open the rockwool where I planted the seed to help it push out. Make sure not to expose the roots to light.

Should i try to get under the seed at all to pull it higher up a bit? Or just expose the seed? I really didn't fill the seed cavity just covered the top... maybe it can't grow through the air gap up or something

Try to not touch the seedling at all. Only help the seedling by removing/opening up the rockwool thats blocking/preventing it from sprouting.
