Fast ways to dry soil (Overwatering Root rot)

You just turned their whole world upside down (light, soil condition; potted vs. in the ground, poked holes in them, changed pots, added more soil, etc); you shouldn't expect them to do anything normal, including feed / drink, until they re-establish themselves.

Hello everyone, My plants used to be outdoor and are now indoor for the past week and a half. I have done one mistake which was to not reduce the amount of water I water my plants with. I have watered them once 1 week ago. After I watered them by a day the plants were drooping. I then started poking holes all over the pots (besides the bottom ones for draining). It has been a week and the plants are still not drying out. I have tried my best, added more soil, moved them to larger pots. The soil right now is dry for the first 1.5-2 inches and then it is wet below that. What can i do to save my plants , they are slowly dying! The humidity is around 40-60%, temps are 20-25 Celsius and there is a 12v dc fan running and circulating the whole air around. My plants are not in an enclosed box such as a grow tent or closet. They are literally sitting outside in my room under the lights.

I did this with my cactus plant a long time ago; spilled whole bunch of water, flooding the pot. Get a bunch of long strips of wicking materials, stick them on some thin rods.Jam the rods with wicking material vertically from the top of the pot, and have the excess long loose wicking strips dangling. Use electric fan on those wicking strips. That will dry out your pot faster. Good luck!
