guys i just bought a 600w hps and im growing in the bottom half of a normal sized wardrobe, thing is i dont have any fans in there at all... is this an accident wating to happen?

quite possibly, and you probably would not be able to grow anything well with the temperatures. get some ventilation and fans!

I use a 600W system(check it out) and it makes my entire closet go up to 94+ degrees with the door closed and no fan. You need ventilation not just for safety purposes but for the plants well being as well.

For a 600 you need extraction really, i doubt a couple of holes will cut it. I advise an extraction fan at the top of the wardrobe sucking the hot air out, and some holes at the bottom to allow cool air in. This, plus an internal fan blowing on the plants (oscillating fan if possible), and you will be all set.

damn.. this is for stealth grow i cant have extraction fans...there must be another solution... some pc fans at the top suck out hot air?

can i put a 400w or 250w with the 600w ballast or no?

If you want to keep it stealth then you have to extract and filter. Just some fans blowing out will stink up your place bigtime. Mine has exhaust up into my attic and it stinks up the house when the door is open. And no you shouldn't use smaller bulbs in your ballast.

although im not really worried about the smell at this point. i just want to start growing... im kinda pissed that i went out and got the 600w hps and i cant use it cause i need some extraction. +rep if anyone can tell me exactly what i need for my grow so its not too hot in there
