Fan with 92/106 CFM too strong for carbon scrubber?

I've got a small 18" x 18" x 4' 6" cab in my bedroom that I've started my first grow in. I have a 4" fan for circulation that's rated at 92/106 CFM and I'm going to build a carbon scrubber soon to go into the cab. Do you think this fan will be sucking air too quickly through the carbon for it to absorb the odors?

It seems like I don't need such a strong fan and it's so damn loud I worry a little bit when the occasional guest comes over, even with the door closed..

run it on a timer if u can get one. doesnt need to clear the room non stop i wouldn't think.

edit: thought it said 18 feet not inches lol. U could run that once ever 2 hours to kill the smell or less even.

But do you think, based on the CFM, that the carbon in a 12" long x 4" dia. filter would be able to clean the smell? I have no experience with these things.
