Fan HelP

hey i was wondering how people hook up computer fans without the whole modem shit do u need to rewire into something or what??? thx for replies

You need a dc converter to be able to plug one in. Radio shack carries them.

check home depot for fans too. a duct booster moves way more air than a comp fan and its about the same price. unless you already got them. comp fans prob. don't move more than 20-30 cfm where as duct boosters move like 150cfm. 20-30 cfm @ $8 + wiring which is at least $2 each. to move 150cfm you would need 6 of em if they move 25cfm that 6 x $10 ($8+$2) = $60. I bought my booster for $25 plus they sell the plus that you can wire straight to the fan to plug em into the wall for like $9. you could get almost two actual fans for the same price.

hmm thats intresting ima have to take ur advice and find out more about it when i go to home depot...but also im taking into consideration when i buy is how much heat my lights are putting off my temp stays between 82-84 so i dont need a huge fan just something that can drop it to about 75 constantly

do you have a cool tube? if you did you could just get the two like i said and run one as an intake and one as an exhaust then some a carbon filter somewhere along the way and then that will eliminate them smell. trust me you light can't ever be too cold. the cooler it is the closer to the plants which means denser buds. hell you going to have to get an air scrubber eventually. you could get a whole intake and exhasut system with a scrubber for under like $100 and its going to be way easier than wiring and mounting 10 computer fans. Also how big is your grow space? my closet it is 108 cubic feet a 20-30 cfm fan would not do shit to lower my temps lol.

my grow space is my closet in my apartment lol its like a 10x6x9 (using the lenghxwidthxheight) i have 4 20w cool tubes and 4 42w cfl's and a big 75w cfl on top of the plant (growing 1 as of now she is 3 and a half months and also have 2 babies growing that look twice as good compared to my lady plant lol) im kinda just startin out 1st plant was an experiment and after some major research my other 2 are immaculate!!! but the hole fan thing u just described sounds awesome i copy and pasted ur message onto my notepad so i remember evrything to say when i talk to the home depot guy. if u wanna see pics i have some lemme know!!
