Because you dont even need males to make seeds.

Sorry to hear OP, but it happens.
I just recently cloned a plant and vegged out 6 clones only to find out they were males after flip. Forgot they were reg seeds and never flipped the parents. Wont make that mistake again.
20 is kind of extreme, when I started I just did 2x as a many as plants I wanted.

Not everyone hates males. Not by a long shot. Nor does everyone love to buy seeds. Pretty extreme statements :)

The reason you see a lot of experienced growers here telling new growers to throw away males is because it's obvious that they are not ready for the burdens and special timing that growing out and managing male plants bring with it (particularly because they typically have a single, often small grow space initially).

If I'm aware that the grower may have the space, time and understanding (or desire) to begin the process of breeding, I will include a blurb with some instructions and advice on how to do so, but the majority of new growers here just want to grow for product.

Yes I know but nature makes it easy.......now if your looking to make fem seed I can see but half the fun is making your own shit you like. Guess I like that.
yeah im starting up my own fem seed project. IMO if im going to take the effort to make seeds, its worth doing just a little bit extra to fem them. Reallllllyyyyyy excited to get it going.

I agree but instead of spending on seeds to learn just grow out some seeds and learn. Lots of new growers also like to try things.....and in turn fuck up a lot. Having your own seed stash makes that less expensive. I've also read on forums and have known some people that spend hundreds of dollars on seeds and still kill their plants.

Easy to collect pollen from a male. just cut off some branches and stick them in a closet somewhere under a 23W, 2700K CFL on a timer and let the pollen fall on a sheet of tinfoil for later collection. Cardboard box works too but keep far away from the room with girls. Then dust a few lower buds on the girls you want to cross later.
