Fact Check

Yea people, this grow is my first...I grew these with what I had and what I could afford...mostly hand me downs from failed or moved on growers or i made shit work. I took 3 bag seeds and decided to have a little experiment. I did about 3 months of internet research, talked to a few growers in person and on line, planted the seeds on that knowledge alone, started in a tiny closet with a little 9 watt led blue spectrum-leaning grow light, bought a $70 tent, an $80 knock-off led 600 watt blurple, and a room heater and small humidifier....and moved it all into my 100 degree attic where I stapled many tarps to the ceiling and walls up there and created a cyclone type channel around the tent, bought 2 4500cfm barrel fans and pointed them to blow in the same direction to create the cyclone effect with a window ac unit...RIGGED UP totally inside with a homemade boot i fashioned around the exhaust and directed it out the only window. That combination bought me about 15 degrees with the ambient temperature during the day. Inside the tent, i had 50' of ducting leading from the exhaust port on the top, coupled to a in-line duct fan (all 6" diameter) and that drew the warm, moist "used air" out of the tent, bringing in slightly cooler fresh air through the bottom vents in the tent That in turn was vented out to the gable vent.

I had an avg day time, lights on temp of about 93 and peaking at times of around 97. Night time, lights out temps were respectfully 83-88, and lows around 78. During veg i ran a humidifier set for a Rh of around 55-63% When I flipped to flower, which is right around when I got in cahoots with this "Grow mentor", he grew in '89, had at one point 400 medical plants he sold to dispensaries in California. His son said it was some of the best weed hes smoked.
He tells me to get rid of the humidifier, it only invites mold that can destroy the entire crop...so i took it out ever since. He tells me start feeding bloom nutes every watering...i did...
He comes over the first time to look at my plants and says they needed watered...and im thinkin dude, I can see the moisture in the soil on top now...how does it need watered
// But, I did, he hadn't steered me wrong up to that point, i measured the fertilizer that he seen and read the label of per the instructions...wasnt long the plants ...at least the sativa, the other ones aint as bad, but it would have been, started looking like they are in the pics...

BUT, ya'all gotta say, for what them plants grew up in they dont look that bad!! c'mon, give me credit a lil bit now! The indica looks funny, yes, i topped it once just to see what would result and never fucked with it again for fear given the environment they were in, id kill the damn things.
This as i said was just a "here, hold my beer" type thing...and I discovered I can actually grow this shit given the right environment and if i just followed my own research and gut. Im a smart guy, green thumbs run in my family...and i think i found a talent and pleasure i didnt know i had/could have. I'll see what happens to this batch, if i get a yield of smokable goods so be it...if it isnt...well i know the next crop will be different :)
Thanks for all the imput guys/gals...this forum is what got me through aaaaall that i just said above. I trust you people, for real.
I'll be back shortly with a new adventure to share! lmao!

Who? From RIU?

To many errors to list....most have been stated already!
no, no...ive never been misled on here...this is a guy related to my g/f Hes a good guy, knows his shit...but ive just met him not too long ago, and i have trust issues! I felt mass doubt with what we can all agree on what is wrong with these plants of mine here...HE claims that it is just the plant maturing...like what a corn stalk looks like just before harvest, all dried and sick lookin but with fat ears of corn hangin off em.
I came here with my doubt and wanted an un influenced "report" on what many exp growers would find the problems were without me pointing them in a certain direction like "what is wrong with the discolored leaves on my plant?" Know what i mean? That way the response would be true and straight up experienced observing replys. And thats exactly what i got, and pretty much exactly what i thought myself. Now i wont take every word to action without question this guy tells me. He knows his shit...but is not "all knowing" like i was starting to see him ass what with the great advice he had given me up to this particular point.
