say I need 49 clones, which EZ cloner should I go with? I've never used them before and don't know if spacing will be a problem or if the success rate of clones calls for me to go with the 120 site model...

Thanks in advance

Make your own for a fraction of the price, a couple hours build time, and it can be any size you want. I have an 8, 24, 40, & 72 site cloners all hand built and not one cost more than $40.

How often will you be cloning, weekly? monthly?

The 120 site is overkill if your not growing commercially. I too built my own for under $50.00.

Okay, thanks fellas. How well do your DIY versions work? And if it isn't too much trouble could you give me a quick walkthrough of how you built em? It seems pretty straight forward but I don't want to assume anything.

100% success rate for years now. You can find plans in stinkbuds thread, harvest a pound every three weeks. Or my thread, my 3 stages of flower.

Cool, thanks again...

Last question. I just went through about 8 pages of your thread, read about every post... but I'm only seeing your vegging unit. Is this also what you use as a cloner? And is there a page on that thread that has a detailed tutorial on how to build it?

If you want 49 then run the 60 site to allow you to pick good ones, theres always a few runts plus those that dont root

There will only be runts if you take bad or small cuttings. Not rooting is a whole nother problem. Never had it.

I had the 120 cloner, and that thing is bulky!!and kind of big if you don't got much space. If it's just for you. Then do the 60 cloner. Sold mine after 2 runs. Got hit with a water bacteria, and went back to rockwool

You've never had a cutting never root? Come on, really?
OK, I had 1 not root out of thousands, and it was my fault in a new cloner the spray pattern was bad. But other than that, no, I have never had an issue, just cut them from the plants and pop them in the cloner, no special cuts or additives, just water.

I bought an EZ cloner 60 on the cheap on Craigslist long before I found this site. As a rule, I put 45-50 clones in the 60 cloner and they all do fine. With my setup, I can only use 35 so I toss the ten smallest ones, I rarely get runts but when I do, it's user error. One time the manifold kinda tilted and 1/2 of my clones on one side of the cloner started to wilt but was able to save them. So, if ya do really want an EZ Cloner, yes the 60 unit will do you just fine
