Hi guys.

Honestly cheers for all the advice and knowledge of your set ups. All I seem to have done past few days is research, test and troubleshoot and watch bloody YouTube videos!!! Lol.

Reiterate a little more here, yes I am in the UK as @jondamon points out and no you didn't sound like a dick mate! All input is good input!!

Final set up (hopefully)
I agonized over what to do with regards to an a/c or an air cooled hood as can only afford one just now and I think an air cooled hood is the best way forward. Checking air-cons online last night and even the expensive are pretty loud, the quietest I can find is 65db which is as loud as a Hoover running!!

Decided on purchasing an air-cooled hood instead.... @coreywebster what's your opinion on this?

If that's ok then I'm going to buy it tomorrow, will take a few days to arrive but I'm sure I'll find something else to sort.

Honestly folks cheers for the direction and all your opinions.
Yeah man looks good for the price, there are wider hoods but will cost a chunk more cash.
If you look through enough hoods you will see some clearly have gaps at every join which is an issue, though not hard to resolve with a bit of tape.
Black orchids stuff is mostly a little bit better quality than some of the other budget makes.

I would check all glass seals for leaks if you plan on sucking through it, that way you don't pull unfiltered air through gaps and have any stink leaking.

Sorry lads was stressed out with decisions earlier so took the daughter for a bike ride lol.

I went and picked up a few things for venting my tent properly as well. Before when I sent up I couldn't put the hose right out the window as you could tell a mile off what it was lol.

Ended up buying a dryer hose, vent and pvc tape and knocked up this, what you all think?

My tent ducting is 125mm not 100mm like the vent cover I bought (dick!) so I bought a hose reducer as well. Might be overkill but got a few Pinocchio noses that stay round here.

@coreywebster @jondamon regards to the hood. Am I better getting a Cool Tube? Few of them on eBay for bit cheaper than that hood I posted but not wanting to buy cheap just to buy twice.

@jondamon sweet pics dude. That all under a 400w?

Yeah I only use a 400w.

Having used a cool tube before I would suggest the air cooled hood you posted.

Normal cool tubes offer shit coverage . The cool tube xl is like a cross between big hood and tube but it will be more expensive.

This ones a bit cheaper than the Black orchid and much the same.

Hi guys.

Managed to find a Black Orchid 5" hood for the same price as the other one I linked the other day. Tried to upload a photo but not attaching for some reason. Would this one be better than the unbranded one?
