Extracted Cannabis oil should be available to Canadian Patients.

Since I was arrested in 2009, I have led a constitutional challenge with Kirk Tousaw, Ted Smith and the Victoria Cannabis Buyers Club for medical cannabis patients to use edible or topical products. We were successful in the BC Supreme Court, convincing a judge that the regulations are unconstitutional because they do not allow patients legally allowed to possess cannabis to make any derivatives from it. This decision allowed thousands of patients in BC to legally make and use extracts. In Aug 2014, we were supported by the BC Court of Appeal, in a 2-1 split decision. Now after the government appealed that too, on March 20th, 2015 we will be the first ever medical cannabis case to be presented to the Supreme Court of Canada.

The legal costs for such a campaign are one of the default punishments of being charged with an unjustified crime. Any Donation is welcome to help shoulder the mighty burden of taking on a stubborn Harper government. The V-CBC has been paying the vast majority of the cost of the case (around 100K) so far and it is not fair that those patients bear the entire costs for a trial that benefits so many others.

I have since been acquitted of the charges, but the Canadian Government continue to fight patients' access to all but "dried Marihuana". Our hope is that when successful, extracted Cannabis products will be available to all Canadian patients who need them.

It is time we move forward with cannabis as a medicine and include the simple extraction techniques required to isolate the medicinal compounds from the inert bulk of the plant.

Please support our efforts by helping us to pay for the associated costs of travelling to Ottawa to hammer home this constitutional argument.

Any financial support above our initial 15K goal will go toward legal costssuch as our expert witness cannabis scientist Dr. David Pate and our legal team.

Here is an article in Cannabis digest.
http://cannabisdigest.ca/6-reasons-give-friend-owen-money/
It is not often that I send out a plea for money for someone other than myself, but I’m nothing if not an adventurous soul, so I thought I’d take a wack at it. Now, be prepared my lovely Digest readers because I’m famous for my sugar coated tongue and it’s ability to sweet talk all kinds of things into my possession. A gift developed during the rock n roll days of the mighty KingBong, musicians are always sweet talking everyone from promoters to seedy label types for anything and everything that they can get. Being deeply in debt and poor does that to you, oh and it kinda helps with girls too. So, fair warning, better lock your wallet away unless you are prepared to give some money to my friend Owen, because he needs it, and I’m about to tell you why.

Unless you have been under a rock for the last few years you have heard all about my friend Owen Smith and his battle to free cannabis extracts. He and my boss Ted Smith have been busy little beavers on this issue rattling cages all the way to the supreme court of Canada.

I might be able to do something to fund raise for this but wont know till after the long weekend. I was going to do something like this for the MMAR Coalition but changed my mind. This looks more straight forward as long as all the funds go to the lawyer or if there are any other expenses that they made known upfront.

Ok here's my plan. Originally I wanted to do a raffle but I'll do this as first come basis and one item set per user so lots of people can make a donations and not just one person getting all the items.

I will get a bunch of nutrients and hopefully equipment donated by my suppliers and will sell it off at below cost. This way the person donating will get something in exchange All the money raised from the sale will go to the donation.

This is what I will put up, will collect more stuff this coming week (would like to have lots of stuff) will make an announcement on Fri. Unfortunately will have to keep this to Lower Mainland people and will be a first come first serve basis. Will think about being able to arrange shipping for out of province if the user pays or is the item is small.

24L set of Black Flower basically exact copy of GH and works pretty good.
24L Jungle Juice Grow and Bloom 2 part set
4L jungle Juice 3 part set
1L Hesi Soil set
1L hesi Hydro set
5L Hesi Soil set

this is a case that hc actually wants us to win.. it's odd speaking of hc as a single entity when in fact it is a group of humans, who like most folks are happy to have the stability in life that comes with a regular paying job and are not interested in rocking the boat so much.. soon things are going shift in a big way to the extract side of things, on the medical side of things in the corporate side of things..

Are you saying you think the folks at HC want a patient's victory for the benefit of LPs being able to supply extracts in the near future?

I believe it. LP's suck at growing quality herb. Its easy and cheap to turn shit into decent oil/food.

Someone said Tweeds first greenhouses was mildewed, if it was, so will the second run. If they can extract and filter the resin to remove contams below the limits they will be able to actually produce a product they are allowed to sell.

Id wager that to LP's, extracts are their biggest desire, next to rec legalization or being bought by a bigger corp.

The question is why can't they grow? Are there really no people in this fucking country that are master growers? FFS, I can grow this shit good enough for me, and according to my spouse it's pretty good shit!
Way back....when we were looking at being an LP....the biggest concern was if our quality product could pass testing.
I think most of them can grow, passing testing is another story

Except that is ridiculous because a ruling in favor of Smith would not impact MMPR rules at all. Inn fact, it would have the opposite effect. Health Canada will say edibles must be carefully regulated through the state and created by regulated corporations, not us silly people making it in our homes, because we're just silly citizens who cannnot be trusted!
