Extra dark hours during flowering?

Hi all - sorry if this is a silly question but I can't find a definite answer anywhere.

I've gone away and turned my lights off at their usual time (8pm) but won't be back home until around midday so they will get an extra 4 hours of dark. Is this going to stress them out to then turn the lights on for 8 hours of light then back into their usual schedule? Or is it just important to maintain AT LEAST 12 hours of darkness? Thanks!!
