extension cord light on during lights off

Newby here,

first time poster with a question, heres my setup to give y'all a run down.
Titan flo-n-gro 12 bucket system w/ Oceanus controller and 55 gallon resevoir using general hydroponics flora series I mix nutes into reservoir and thats it! Set it to feed (floods pots) for 15 minutes 4-6 times a day depending on plant stage of life

in a 4 foot wide by 8 foot long grow tent. I have 8 inch ducting w/ inline intake and exhaust fans
under three (3) sun supply 315W lec (light emitting ceramic, or they are also referred to as ceramic metal halide , correct?)

supplementing w/ co2 and titan environmental controller and float valve to keep at constant 1500 with a 50 & 20 pound tank that I rotate when the other empties. environmental controller has photocell so does not run when lights off.

have grown the plants w/ scrog setup and flipped them to 12/12 flowering about a week ago.
Just last night I realized one of the extension cords in the tent (its a heavy duty 14amp cord) has a brightish orange light that lights up when plugged in. This lit up end has been inside the tent shining a slight orange bright at the top of the tent for a week before I noticed it.
*edit to include the orange light was on inside the tent during the 12 hours of lights off for first week of flowering schedule*

Do you guys think this will have any adverse affects such as messing up the flowering schedule? I wonder if it could take an additional week of flowering, but is there a chance I could get a few hermies because of this? Relatively new to the grow game so just curious.

I'll try to snap some pics and upload them on here for you guys to enjoy. Seems like you guys have a solid community around here.

Meh, should be ok.. I'd probably still get another chord. Steal your Dad's like I do :) Think about the moon. That doesn't cause hermies.. or street lights.

i have an extension chord with the plug being lite, sounds like the same the op is using , and never, knock on wood, had an issue in doing so..

why take a chance, tape that bish like mentioned above. taping takes 1.5 mins or buy a new cord for 15.00 at lowes.

Well when you look at how a plant works...rarely ever done.
Youll see that basically light affects hormones etc, for example (co) protein that initiates flowering is only stable in light.

light inhibits the activity of PINOID kinase, which then promotes the activity of PIN3. This activation leads to asymmetric distribution of auxins, which then lead to asymmetric elongation of cells in the stem..basically how plants follow the sun

You dont have to have an unnecessary fear of light, how much light does it take to have an effect on the plant? You need about 2000 lumens to maintain photosynthesis, about 40 lumens will stop flowering... i routinely turn ceiling lights on at "night" to tend to my plants with no detrimental affects. That little amount of light on an extension cord is nothing
