What would happen if one were to place an air stone at the bottom of a regular soil medium? If at all beneficial, what would be the best way to include it? My grow setup is going to include a reservoir of water under stones to keep humidity high in my grow space, so I have a few options when it comes to placement.
My thoughts were..
-I could bury the stone an inch up from the bottom of the pot in soil. I've been reading that plants really like having aerated soil, so would this not improve conditions?
-An alternative could be.. setting the pot in my water reservoir before adding the stones so that the water level rises into the bottom of the pot (much like a hydro setup) and I could have the air stone in the water underneath.
Totally retarded ideas?
