Its my first grow: 4 plants in a 3ft x 2 ft area. 250w HPS.
I fixed the screen about 12 inches over the medium.
From what I read, I have to switch 12/12 when 60-75% of the screen made contact with the plants.
3 plants grew thru the screen a week sooner than the fourth plant, so I had to wait and they were vegging exactly for a month when I decided to switch to 12/12, and the screen was just filled 50% then.
I placed one plant in each corner and I was planning to direct the main stems to the center of the screen.
Currently its their 3rd day flowering and I noticed that I'm going to have problem with the space, as there is only one row left separating the upper left and upper right plant.
From what I understand they will continue to stretch much more during the first couple weeks of flowering.
Now is this normal, or how should I handle this? Raise the screen? What should I do when the squares in the middle are filled, just let them grow thru it? Cuz at this rate, they will be growing way over the screen....
Thanks!!!
