Expanding on the High: description

I'm really interested in detailed descriptions of the high that folks get. So I propose that the High: descriptor be expanded to make it much more detailed. To that end, I will list a bunch of things that would describe a buzz. I would like anyone that would like to participate to list EVERYTHING you've internally experienced while stoned on any one strain of weed. I know many folks just want to melt into the sofa and that's OK, but just once write down what you're experiencing so we can all know what to expect.

I'm sure I will leave many things out of this list. So please feel free to add anything you can remember experiencing, or are experiencing. In the end I will try to gather it all up into a form of sorts that could be "filled in" so to speak as a buzz progresses. If this works, then phenotyping could be even more exacting and of course, folks like me could choose a strain more accurately. Yeah, I'm selfish. Now, it might all fall apart if everyone experiences different things from the same strain, and then again it might show that some types produce varied experiences and others have rock solid effects. Personally, I feel there will be plenty of consensus, and hopefully we can all benefit. And this certainly can go nowhere if no one participates. I can only try, and so can you. Here goes:

In no particular order, only as things come to me.

grins
easy feeling
happiness
confusion
paranoia
anxiousness
Time dilation
2d, or other visual effects
cotton mouth
hunger, or suppression of hunger (wouldn't that be great!)
red eyes
laziness
grins
pain relief - what kinds, for how long, how fast it
any other forms of relief
motivation
heat/cold tolerance
causes nausea
relieves nausea
introversion
problem solving
circular thinking
hallucinations
peaks and valleys
heightening or depression of any of the five senses
Seeming connections to things - spooky stuff
sweats
heart rate changes or palpitations
blood pressure effects
sexual effects
itchyness or relief therefrom
balance issues
Where, when, how it hits you

I think you get the idea. Not to bitch... much, but when someone describes a high as Awesome! I don't get much from it.

Have fun with it, share the experience with some friends. Pack the next bowl over a blank sheet of paper with a pencil and a watch handy and let's see where this can go. It's like the Lottery, we can't win if we don't play.

I have much to learn. I'm a noob. I hang my head in shame. Forgive me. I've just been clued that trichome status at harvest determines much about the effects experienced. I hope it's not enough to make this experiment worthless.

When I first starting smoking I was just like everybody. I let the weed take me to wherever it wanted to take me. After not smoking for awhile I learned to meditate and then I put the 2 together. What a difference! Once I raised my consciousness so much so fast I was in a whole new realm totally above this world. What Freedom! Another time I feel asleep after smoking/meditation and I woke up to find myself sitting up out of my body. When I looked a my hand it was a golden glowing light hand and I heard this unbelieveable music of the spheres, powerful cosmic rythm, resonating all around me. Far out New Age music is great for this type of thing and really helps.

Technically THC is considered a hallucinagen, just a very very weak and mild one.

Smoke an oz in 1 sitting alone within a small timeframe. Im sure your eyeballs will start buggin out.

Here are a couple more to add to your list:

time loops or echoes (same thing seems to happen twice in quick succession)
relocation of ego (out of head and into body-- or even outside of body)
sudden derailed train of thought
multiple mental tangents (can get absurd)
making new mental connections between concepts (profound, rather than spooky)
pressure in chest
tingly scalp
attention lock (often on inanimate objects, lol)
stomach cramps (from laughter)
sensitivity to meanness aka heightened empathy

I just want to find something that makes me feel good and happy and easy going, loose of muscle, relaxed and with some pain relief. Would that be the definition of "kind" weed? What I don't want is something that would make me just plain generally useless. Not space me out, confuse me or make me paranoid or anxious, or thinking in circles, and free of couchlock (not that there isn't a place for that type of high.)

Prolly doesn't exist.

Happiness comes from being centered, and sharing time with friends and family. Pot's a drug-- a nice drug, but a drug just the same. It can enhance many experiences-- making some of the good stuff even better.

That said, the negative stuff you mentioned (uselessness, paranoia et.al.) can be pretty much avoided by controlling your dosage. I am purely an evening/weekend toker; typically, my spouse and I will take a hit or two each, and then enjoy our evening. We can easily pass as sober if we get unexpected guests. Of course, some nights we want to get good'n'high...

If you're looking for a clear headed high, sativas are a better bet than indicas. Kali Mist is a favorite of mine, but I'm sure you can find other strains that are much the same.
