exhaust

can i have the exaust for my grow room going into another room or would it be best for it to run ouside of the house i am new to growing i just bought a 400watt hps/mh light and have the room all i need to know is what kinda soil to get and what other nutrients to add to my medium also need info on how far my light is going to be from the plants during the grow stages help would be appreciated

All the answers to those ? can be found on this site....do what i did browse all the other post and look the FAQ section.....everybody always asks the same questions...so just spend some time and go through everybody elses posts in the Newb, indoor growing. setup and design section....anything and everything you ever wanted to know about growing is on this site...plus you can learn from everybody elses mistakes. I think i spend more time studying rollitup.org then i do my college work

I built a DIY carbon scrubber that I found on here in the DIY section.......best to vent outside but if cant you can build a carbon scrubber easy and cheap........I would sugget you get some promix or light warrior from your local hydro store......its best to start your seed ling in a soil that does not have added nutes ex Mircacle grow.....Pro mix and light warrior don't have added nutes and are very light and airy soil so your roots can spread easily and get oxygen. I don't know how big your grow space is but you need good ventilation.....you need to make sure you get fresh air in and stale air out....and make sure your space does not get to hot from your 400w.....I just started my first grow so I have went through all the things to start up.....I got a 400w in a 5 x 5 x 8h space and I have a can fan hooked up to DIY carbon filter venting to my bedroom and I also have a can fan hooked up to my light to exhaust the hot air off of my light these are the can fans I got and this site is also very good site to get everything you need High Tech Garden Supply and also worldwidemarijuanaseeds is good site to get some seeds....and make sure you don't over water or over nute...hope this helps a liitle...but the best thing you can do is study this site like your in a maddrassa and this is your Koran

can i grow my seedlings under my 400 watt hps light and how far do i keep the light away from my plants there is a bathroom right next to my grow room where i am gonna install my exhaust fan because in the bathroom there is another exhaust fan so i am hoping that will take care of most of my odors do u think i could run my fresh air fan from the bathrooom too scince it is right next to the grow room all i would have to do is put the exhaust high and the fresh air fan low would this work i reall need to chat with an experienced grower if anyone has yahoo or aim or anything i need lots of live help if anyone would lke to i would appreciate it

Seedlings 400 watt HPS 2 intense... You need some cfl's they give a lot less intense light,

o and in the winter i exhaust inside and summer i exhaust outside, for obvious reasons....(ac/heat bill if you haven't figured it out)
