i cant get anywhere to get an exaulst until the weekend i am starting to build up some heat in the top of the box it is 2x2x3 feet the bottom is not that hot but i can feel the heat up top. the girls i hope thats what they are i am calling them that they are on the bottom of the box and the light is dropped down 8/10 inches to the tops is there anything i can do until then for the heat i put 2 ice cube in the box before i left for work this morning will that help anything or did i just waste ice? i have a 70 watt hps also you think i could move the girls closer to the light?

dude im in the same set up(dual like kitchen cabs) using a 150w hps econolight, im in winter here, so the outside temps have brought the temp down. GET A GOOD FAN and blow it @ the bulb. that should do it...

i stepped it up and got a growbright 4" inline duct fan, and made a DIY carbon filter, the 4" 80cfm is MORE THAN ENOUGH for our spaces, sucks smoke up like a hurricane.. so yeah, that also will drop the temp installed @ the top of the box, good luck

and LST YOUR PLANTS!

all i did was use fishing string and pulled the plants over @ a 90* angle, they will turn up within hours, grow crazy and be not as tall. WAY MORE BUD PER PLANT

in a box that small i wouldnt use a HPS i would use cfl's. less heat. and yes u wasted ice. the cfl's u need are 6500K for veg and 2700K for flowering. good luck with your grow.

6 23W 2700K BULBS WERE @ 84-86*

1 150W HPS IS @ 78-80 DEGREES

(2x3x3 stealth box no fans on or intake/exhaust@ time of test)

i have used both and posted this discovery

then i would go with the HPS then and just add sum air flow to try to keep it at 76-78 degrees. if ur using cfl's u should be using 6500K not 2700K. the 2700K are for flowering.

my box is an old trunk turned long ways you know it is like a rectangle plants are down low like 7 inches from the bottem and the heat starts around 2 or 2.5 feet up towards the top i plan on getting what i have seen a comp fan and mount it in the top corner and blow the heat out and just put some kind of duct in the bottom corner and suck air in threw the box hoping for like a S shape of air in and out does that sound like it will work? other than that the 2 plants look nice my first grow ever

ya the computer fan will work perfect. my friend uses 1 on his clone box and he loves it. just buy a a/c adapter that goes from 2.5-12 volts and do test on what setting u need to keep the box at the right temp.

ok thats cool about the comp fan and the adaptor but where would i find that at and how do you wire it up simple iam sure just where do you find the adaptor at the computer store or radio shack. running a google search now to see what it says

both the computer fan and the adapter are both 2 wires. very simple to hook up. adapter u can get at walmart cheap.not sure where my friend got his computer fan at. i'll ask him and let u know.

Indeed in my small space ,5 30watts cfl s were giving off heat.....it s not their glass that heats ,but their built-in ballasts .They may bseem just warm to the touch ,but i also discovered that heat builds up afst in a small grow space with cfls
