So one of my other hobbies is restoring old cars. When you put a booming stereo in them, everything rattles and vibrates like crazy. The solution to this is an extremely expensive product called "Dynamat". After cruising the car audio forums I found that this stuff (linked above) is available at home depot and achieves the same thing at a fraction of the price.

At $17 (6" x 25ft) it was worth the expense to give it a try. Sooo......

I put it under my air pump and buckets in my dwc cabinet, wrapped around my intake and exhaust fans (6" elicent, and 6" fantech), put a few strips on my ducting, and the difference it made is literally jaw dropping. ESPECIALLY with the fantech fan which is seemingly twice as loud as the elicent. I didn't completely cover each component, but rather cut small to medium sized pieces and stuck them to it (the stuff is like tar on one side and reflective material on the other. It's comprised of this soft rubber that really absorbs vibrations and sounds!

Just figured I'd pass on what I learned! Hope this helps gang. :joint::joint::joint::joint::clap::clap::shock:
