Mitch McConnell boots Rick Scott from key committee

82,285 views Feb 2, 2023 #MitchMcConnell #RickScott #Senate
Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has pulled rival Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., from the Senate Commerce Committee. Sen. Scott said he learned of the move in a text message. The Morning Joe panel discusses.
"According to Scott, it’s personal. “This is what happens when you challenge leadership,” Scott said in a statement to the New York Post on Wednesday.
“It was McConnell’s decision to remove someone who has actually run businesses and ran the third-largest state from a committee I’ve served on for four years,” Scott said. “You’ll have to ask him why.”
Scott was CEO of Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp. for a decade beginning in 1987. In 1999 the hospital chain agreed to pay what has widely been characterized as the largest-ever fine — $1.7 billion — over Medicare fraud. Scott resigned from the company under pressure in 1997, according to local media reports, departing with a nine-figure severance package.
During a 2000 deposition on the matter, Politifact reported, Scott exercised his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination 75 times. "

Well no shit...You tried to depose a vengeful old bastard, and thought there would be no repercussions? If you really didn't see any pay back coming, you are too stupid to be in office, much less on an important committee.

Scott is one weird fucker and definitely has a screw loose. The morons of Florida figured this greedy corporate criminal would be their senator and represent their interests, his only interest is in cutting taxes for the rich to nothing and screwing those who were stupid enough to vote for him. The more disgusting a republican is, the more likely he is to get nominated and elected. Ripping off Medicare is a plus for him and even though many of his voters depend on it, they will vote for this POS who would cut it, along with social security. "I didn't think they would fuck me, they were suppose to fuck them, the ones foxnews told me about"! Any senior who votes for these clowns is voting to cut their own throats, unless they are filthy rich.

someone splain me this. Santos told no-holds-barred lies before and after getting elected. Seems to me he’d continue the trend to hold onto his committee seats.
Suddenly he is showing the uncharacteristic appearance of something resembling scruples. That can’t be it, so his scorpion sense must be a-tingle.

What could scare Kitara Unbound from pursuing the logical course of ambition?

i saw that yesterday, said i was wondering if he didn't get a visit from someone scary, sent by mcconnell, who basically told him to sit down and shut up, and stay that way if you don't want an intimate view of the inside of a wood chipper.

Marjorie Taylor Greene embarrasses herself with misinformed talking point

Alex Wagner fact checks Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's bizarrely confident assertion that an elementary school in Illinois was giving $5 billion in federal funding to teach critical race theory.

Read in MSNBC: https://apple.news/AxDY5BdrlRHmU5X4pvWA36Q
i saw that...i'm a shlub hillbilly, and i know that America spent 90Billion on education in 20-21, that 95+% of that comes from the states the schools are in, and 5-10% comes from the federal government.
so not only is she wrong about the amounts, but isn't she one of the ones all worked up about states rights? then doesn't that mean that those states that choose to fund "drag queen story time" have a right to, without interference from the federal government?
pick ONE message to send, and stick with it, you ignorant hillbilly Karen bitch.

Gym went to war with the DOJ, those are the actions of a desperate man looking to squirm away from accountability. Gym was a gym teacher and not much more, he never grew into his new job very well. Garland and Jack are brilliant lawyers and very experienced prosecutors and there is plenty of evidence laying around and lot's of levers and crimes to pry information out of rats. He is attacking the DOJ and if he is doing it because he is a criminal seditionist, then if there is evidence, the DOJ has little choice but to go after them and him in particular.

Opinion.

The Republican Party was once a traditionalist institution that stood for small government, low taxes and conservative social policies. But today’s GOP is a shell of its former self.

The GOP of 2023 is embroiled in chaos and beset by internal strife. Many members who have been elevated to senior positions within the party are not concerned with governing, only with advancing their political agenda and causing disruption for disruption’s sake.

I'm beginning to hope that they let trump float for a while and hit gym with the first indictment for insurrection...he needs the ever living shit smacked the fuck out of him, live on prime time.
Not to mention that it will scare the fuck out of the rest of them...maybe they'll be too busy trying to find lawyers stupid enough to represent them to cause any more stupid fuckery for a while.

He strikes me as more desperate than dangerous and someone the law will catch up with. I'm sure he is wondering what Kevin will do because Kevin could probably put him and others in prison. I'm sure Jack knows all about Gym at this point and Gym has a target on his forehead.
Jack knows about Gym.

just motherfucking wow...don't worry about homelessness, don't worry about people not getting healthcare, don't worry about having some of the most ignorant fucked up gun laws in the world, don't worry about soaring housing costs, don't even worry about your state slowly sinking into the ocean...BUT WORRY about female athletes REALLY being female....
usually, when someone has priorities this fucked up, the person assigned to make sure their shoes are tied and to hold their hand crossing a busy street will set them straight....desantis clearly needs a qualified care provider.
