Exactly 4 weeks from switching to 12/12

The buds haven't really got any bigger in the past few days and I'm wondering if I did something wrong or if the swell of the buds are still going to be coming? Or if I should do a heavy defoliation to give my buds room to grow? I'm just nervous about stressing the plants out and causing hermaphrodites because it's my first grow I just want to get to the finish line any help would be highly appreciated thank you

After 4 weeks you won't get a full canopy of leaves growing back after defoliation.

Your crop is looking good, you've just got first time jitters.

So you think a defoliation at this point wouldn't be a good idea? The only reason I ask is because they are really crowded and I just don't want them to turn hermaphrodite

Never defoliate. If you're having airflow issues, it's ok to take a few leaves here and there. But dont strip your plants down to the budsites

I defoilate at days 1 and 21 of flower, the leaves always grow back. 4 weeks of flower would be pushing it.

Two different views on defoliation.

My experience with defoliation is a higher leaf to calyx ratio and plants much bushier than before the defoliation, in turn decreasing overall airflow. But I have seen amazing results from others who do strip their plants. Different strokes for different folks
