That comment that kolz made was stupid to, saying that if you stumble upon a plant in SOMEONE'S YARD you should take it? WTF dude how many people have outdoor gardens? and how many of those people expect some punk kid to come in and jack it from them. We protect against animals getting into our gardens not high school kids looking for a plant.
 
im with manny, that is an awsome idea. the kid probably ripped up a stawberry plant, thinking it was marijuana.

where im from... in the northeastern part of the US, any land owner has the right to shot any trespasser that steps foot onto their property. you should look into the laws before you go running through peoples yards steeling shit, you may get your ass shot.

Sand medium is not that great. specially natural sod, it contains a lot of salt.

It would prolly die anyway after 2 -3 weeks. the plant would realize that it is not a good enviornment and die.

Want to fix the problem? Go get any type of soil, get it in the soil and water. Then go place the potted plant back at your neighbors house with a note that says sorry.
