JACKSON, MI – Medical marijuana dispensary owners were forced to close their doors this weekend after receiving a cease and desist letter from the Jackson County prosecutor.
Prosecutor Jerry Jarzynka sent letters to the 18 county locations that dispense medical marijuana on Friday. In that letter he states the recent Michigan Supreme Court ruling banning patient-to-patient sales.
"

So now I am wondering what will happen with the farmers market. Is it even safe to go there anymore?

And now I am also thinking I need more patients, I have several slots open. If you live in Jackson just get ahold of me, we can discuss details. I seek patients that will be a good "fit", everyone is different.

Message me here on rollitup.

There is one exception. Hydroworld. But I guarantee that won't be open long. They were raided more than a year ago, it's a Danny Trevino operation. The cops will just go in undercover, buy some marijuana, and then raid the place. Same as what happened to Kaya Genetics.

whoa man, I live here in prison city too man just mellow. A) don't just start collecting patients man, you're going to give these people access to your SSN and your address and all the info needed to steal your identity and/or rob you outright. B) there was pot before this, there will be pot after it. if you're that easily spooked with all caps and shit by this you're new to the game.

I am just surprised. I had heard from a few people that they didn't think this was going to happen in Jackson. And now we see that it has. I've never sold to a dispensary before, but I liked having the option. I've tried out several dispensaries too.

Hmmm If the gov't acts with force to impede access to legal medication how might the people act to protect these patients from this siege?

wow interesting timing in joining our group! this is dangerously close to spam.................and I'm still lmao at the owners of that company making their employees sleep on the street with no winter clothes or sleeping bags, or tents in ypsi while we were all getting our licenses for dispensaries there a couple years ago. They were covered in frost in the morning like my car. Poor kids. I'll never forget seeing that woman ower show up in her fancy car and clothes to roll in just in time to get her application on time, nice and warm too!!!!!!!!!

lmfao. ann arbor health collective, we're there for you in your time of need!

I just received word that the G&S farmers market did NOT receive this C&D order and will remain open. Any word on Joe Cain's farmers market?

Well that could be good news. But I still wonder what happens if an undercover officer (with a card of course) were to buy from a seller at the farmers market. Wouldn't the seller then be able to be arrested?

I believe the C&D orders are a direct result of the recent SC ruling that municipalities could "lawfully" use a civil infraction of "Public Nuisance" to shutter dispensaries just as we now see so many of these clowns doing. Although, I am unaware of anyone being arrested or criminally charged.

BLACKMAN TOWNSHIP, MI – The recent raid of a medical marijuana dispensary was the first in the Jackson area since a Michigan Supreme Court ruling gave local authorities the ability to shut dispensaries down.
On Tuesday, Feb. 19, members of law enforcement including the Jackson Narcotics Enforcement Team raided Kaya Provision Center, located at 740 Laurence Ave.
Lt. Dave Cook of JNET said an undercover agent was sent to the medical marijuana dispensary to purchase the drug. That person was not a patient at Kaya, police said."

if the localities in those areas try and close those markets....?......
i would hope at least 1-2 people show up peacefully in each area to show support and objections--

--it would be up to those markets to publicize this....:-|:joint:

That was actually an LEO sting. Although unrelated to the recent SC ruling and C&D orders, it was likely intended to paint a picture to the public that MMMP is nefarious. Politics are no longer based upon reality, but rather the best weaved and spun story lines ...

Yes it was a LEO sting, but what is to stop them from doing the same thing at the farmers markets? This is a legitimate question that I would want answered before I bought or sold from a farmers market.

Dude, read the law. If you are transferring to anyone outside of your 5 patients then you are risking being arrested, especially if you are transferring to someone you don't know at a farmers market.. I sure the fuck wouldn't be doing it.

I am assuming the sting encompassed other dispensaries in the area whom did not bite on providing meds to a non-cardholder, so no arrests were made elsewhere. Farmers markets should not allow for such a transfer as it would not be in their best interests. But then again, is there any question as to the legality of transferring meds to non-patients?

We need to come out together brother and stand up against our oppressors, not hide and cower from these political clowns and the games they play. Either you believe that medical marijuana does exists or it does not. Either you are a member of the MJ community or you are not. NEWS ALERT: No where in the United States of America is the use, possession or cultivation of marijuana free from prosecution period. It's all just a game literally bro. Are you playing or are you not? Are you ashamed of your use, possession and/or cultivation of marijuana? Are you a "public nuisance" and not a productive member of your community? That is the goal of our opposition my friend, it's all about the story line and we are the bad guys :(

Buy more guns !!

We can put a stop to this !
Why not open up shop at Eastern Market? Make sure vendors choose a spot with the bulletproof doors and the bulletproof glass panels to see who's knocking? No legit card, speak a foreign language until the cops leave.
