Both have their ups and downs but dry trimming slows the drying process way down and makes everything better in the end.

I guess it is how you learn. I close trim at hanging. Super fast and easy. Screen dry and dry sift all that minus the shade leaves. When buds are ready for cure I remove each one with as long a stem as I can. Use that for a handle to final trim dry. Really easy. Snip bud from stem piece into curing jar. Never touched by your hands after harvest. And pretty results.

Yeah I hear ya. I like a nice 14 day dry though and the only way ive been able to make that happen is hanging plants whole with all their leaves.

Humidity control and very slow steady air turnover for a week. Then cure. Ready to smoke in the week. Better every week after every consecutive one.
