Estimate How Much Will My Plant Yield?

I don't know much about yields and I guess you can't really know for sure but i'm going to try and provide as much information as possible
and hopefully someone can give me a decent estimate.

Grown Outdoors
Planted Sept 1st (Southern Hemisphere)
Date of picture January 26th
Genetics : Nimbin plant that appears to be a hybrid, mostly sativa dominiant.
Soil is a mix of Canna Coco and Potting Mix
Nutrients used : Seasol, Canna Coco A & B, Canna PK 13-14
Height: about 39 inches.
Area : is a bit shady but pretty much is getting at least the minimum amount of direct light needed.

I honestly have no idea what I should expect to harvest but I'm trying to be optimistic.
I'm seeing a lot of new branch development, it's been really easy to grow as well.

Very interested in hearing your responses.

Here's a higher quality pic

Hard to tell, but after nearly 4 months of growth, imo, it should be a tad bulkier, height is kewl, but if you get a strong wind, it looks like it could snap once it starts gathering some bud weight up high.

Are you going to top it at least once?, it seems to have very little side branching, but that could be genetics also.

Other than that looks kewl, I am going to try to put a couple out in the woods this year also. I figured I would start them inside and then after a month, take them to the great outdoors.

Peace and Great Grows

You should deffinatly top it at least once, shit I'd top that thing like 10 times over the next couple months

Well obviously i'm not just going to throw it away, I also still think it's a bad idea to top whilst this far into flowering. I also have no idea what "malis" means :/. Thanks for everyone's advice. 3 people in a row telling me to top has got me thinking :/ i was always taught it's not good to top in flowering.. i think it's too late?

Can anyone prove me wrong?

...yeah, I top only in veg myself. And I think "malis" means he's not trying to be nasty, he's just sayen. I think it looks a bit lanky but maybe it is the strain. Good luck and maybe try to top next time:)

I wouldn't top it now unless you can veg it for another 1-2 weeks. I think you'll get a quarter O dried. The leaves indicate it's NOT sativa dominant. You Could use a way to get your next one a bit better involved is some wind if it's going to be outside in a container as opposed to in the dirt. Good Luck and keep at it.

Topping now won't hurt anything, I've topped my plants 3 weeks after switching to 12/12. You might lose a few potential bud sites but the plant will be healthier in the long run.
As far as yield I wouldn't expect much if you don't top it maybe a half oz. With some topping and training you could pull off a few oz in the right conditions. Look up super-cropping and get some bamboo stakes or chicken wire to support the branches while they heal...

Thanks yeah i regret not topping, i plan to grow it out, harvest it then re-veg.
In all honesty this is pretty much my first grow so I didn't want to mess around with things like Topping, Super Cropping, FIM'ing, LST and the rest.

how far along is it flowering? since you switched the lights?

3 weeks in. (it's outdoors).

Hmm well everything i've read tells me NOT to top during flowering. Instead of 2/3 main colas i'm likely to get 2/3 small buds
and it may likely lower my yield than raise it. It's upsetting to hear it will probably only yield a half oz. I was hoping for an oz minimum..
Next time around i'm likely to reveg, prune roots, plant in soil, top and supercrop.

I think you'll get a quarter ounce dried.

Heh, that sucks :(!

FTR I actually did legitimately super crop it. TWICE actually on the main stem. But it bent back, i must not of done it hard enough? it didn't seem to swell up much either, however I legit bent the fuck out of it. and for the full day the top of the plant was horizontal. Do you think that'll still benefit it?

I'm growing my first plant, and I wonder how much I'll yield too.

Joking... who the fuck cares? I know I won't yield as much as the experts with HID and experience and all that. But I'm learning how to grow. It will be fun to find out. And if I put my new-found knowledge and experience to use, I should yield more next time around, and probably see a better yield for grow number three, and so on.

Enjoy the learning process and discovery.

Your an impatient little fellow arn't you? as for the plant how can we tell? its still in veg,
doesnt look great, skinny and long internodes.

It's not still in veg, what makes you think it is??

Well I care how much I yield, the final yield is one of the main reasons most people grow.
